Not being critical of the coaches: My question, though, is

why did we go away from the tempo that we used to run?

Gotta say - I hate losing to Ughey almost as much as the coots.

My question: Which teams did we play that were as talented as Georgia?

I don't think it's a matter of getting away from it as much as we choose when to use it and when not to.

In 2019 and some extent, 2020 imo, we tended to slow it down to protect the D since we didn't have the depth and experience. It's also personel dictated. As well as field position dictated. Not that we abandon it, we still want rhythm but no one is in favor of doing Chad Morris high school hunh.

Well, if that were the case ,I'd have to say hands down we went away from it Saturday night in Charlotte. Bad move which ever coach made it.
How is that for "honest" criticism?

Not real sure I follow what you're saying. I'm saying we try to get into a timed rhythm. We would have gotten hosed had we tried to run every drive like a 2 minute drill... I'm saying there's no appetite to go back to that which is really what Morris wanted to do.

Think the hunh was a little bit feast or famine. Think they go with the current tempo to have a little more effect of the time of possession. When our offense is humming the push tempo up, when we struggle they slow it down a little. Would love to have seen the occasional hunh or a sugar huddle to put the UGA defense on their heels a bit.
