calling mostly running plays and short dump passes most of the game, with VERY few downfield passes called on offense all night.

So my question is this:

Was that what they were giving us on offense with their defensive set, the run and selling out to stop the downfield passes, or was something else going on? Just haven't seen our offense look so unbalanced with a 2-1 rushing versus passing ratio in the box score. And really that wasn't the story because most of the passing yards came on a couple of plays. I guess we just didn't seem balanced in the playcalling and I was wondering what caused that.

When you average like 8 yards a carry you shouldn't throw the ball.

Read Jeff Scott’s interview. You’ll have your answers. Yes we were expecting man to man and they gave us a different look which opened up the running game. Easy as that.

If we can run the ball like that then TL will have wide open man to man coverage all day long once teams load the box.
