Noon games are much better for the players! Sitting around until 3:30 or 7:30 is a drag for the players and coaches! Ask Dabo! As most fans travel some distance to our games, noon is a much better time. Getting out of clemson at night is a pain!

I enjoy night games but you're right about getting out of after a night game.It can be a long wait for sure and the light at the where Hwy.76 meets with Hwy.123 lawd that is one long light for people trying to get off of 76 to 123

I still don't understand the obsession with night games. There's been a whole lot of great football played at noon in Death Valley and elsewhere. For those of us who live out of town, a noon game is a lot easier. Go Tigers. Get out of bed early and get to the valley!

noon game...It is harder top get recruits in at noon, so I would LOVE to hear your answer...Better not start with leaving on Friday

12pm ESPN is one of the largest TV slots for ratings. Probably is higher than 3:30pm slot ESPN.

Games like the Louisville one that you think would be at 12 don't come on til 7:30 and a big divisional matchup like this one is on at 12. Just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

You would think at least a 6 day hold since Wake could be playing to clinch the Atlantic division, but you wouldn’t know that until after the games this week. ?????

it's about more than just kickoff times though. This game is on the main ESPN channel at noon which is a big slot for ratings whereas our game with Louisville may have been at night but it was just dumped on the ACC Network which does not get very big ratings and is not a prime slot.

Clemson and Wake at 12 and duke and louisville at prime time 7:30 probably tells you all you ever wanted to know about espn's and Clemson's relationship.

7:30 is the prime time slot. The most viewers. To put Clemson and Wake two teams vying for the division championship at 12 slot and two of the lowest standing teams in the conference at the prime 7:30 slot should make you question that decision process. The 12:00 slot has less substantially less viewers than the 7:30 spot.

Perhaps the powers that be are thinking this BIG game will lure viewers to the early slot! What better way to lure viewers to a particular time slot than to have a big game o watch.

...isn't a big time slot, doesn't know how all this works.
You may personally hate noon games, that's fine - but it's hardly a slight to our program to be on at that time (particularly with the year we've had.)

It is a slight to have duke and louisville in prime time 7:30 slot with the year those two have had compared to Clemson and Wake vying for the division championship. There is no way to sugar coat that. It is a slight to Clemson Wake and the ACC. That Is how it works.

Somebody is trying to help Wake out and give them a fighting chance in the valley. Death Valley is a different animal under the lights and our fans are much more boisterous after a full regimen of tailgating. If ESPN's angle is in fact ratings its because they want to showcase another chink in the Clemson armor in a rare down year. Bama, Georgia, or Ohio State have a game to decide their division at home and they will be under the lights - period. Even when we have surpassed 'blue blood' levels of success, I don't see them letting us into the cool kids club.
Here's to the good guys spoiling ESPN's hopes and dreams for a Tiger loss. I'll be up at six am screaming at the tv out here in Hawaii
