Running Backs Transfer?

Can we expect some of our running backs to go the transfer portal? Seems like Shipley may get most of the carries. What does this mean for Kobe Pace and Phil Mafah?

The four-game limit no longer applies. They may as well stick around since they can't play until next year if they enter the portal.

they play in more than 4 games it counts as a years eligibility. They play in four or less it does not count as a years eligibility.

Carries last night: Shipley 10 Mafah 8 Pace 5 DJ 13
It isn’t like Shipley getting all the carries. I will say I expect him and Mafah to get the majority but we’ll see. Seems like Swinney and Spiller are going to eventually ride the hot hand. I personally don’t think there should to be a 3 man rotation all the time as I think it hurts any certain back getting into a rhythm.
Problem is the OLine needs to be better or the run game going to look like it did last night. Average at best.

No fear, we have Keith Adams Jr and several walk-ons

to fill the depth chart. With our OL, anyone could run for 100+ yards per game behind them anyway.

I think our RB room has something very, very special- and I think these guys know it. All three have their own unique abilities, and they all complement each other very well. Mafah is an absolute bulldozer. Pace has shiftiness and hands balanced with the ability to lay the shoulder/boom at will. Shipley is a nice balance of the two, and does a good job of drawing "eye candy". It's about as stout as a backfield one could ask for IMHO. All three could be starters at 98% of other D1 schools...
I know halfback/fullback are old terms/roles these days, but if we can line 2 of 3 of these guys up in a modified Pistol with an agile DJ, and rotate and stunt... I think it's a headache on paper and in the dirt.
Really hope these guys stick together, my guess is that that they will and all three will go on to have very good careers...the sum of the parts is greater than the whole.

Maybe say an agile QB instead of an agile DJ

I think that Collins brought in some much better Defensive players than he had last year. Will this translate into more wins? Only time will tell. We won, so I am happy. You folks can run your mouths on saying what we should or not be doing. but the coaching staff do this professionally and do not air their laundry in public.

I'm not going to 'harp,' about our offense but...

when offense's time on the field is limited everyone playing on offense has limited playing time. When your offense stays behind the chains all your running backs are going to experience severely limited carries.
We're grinding our gears on offense so far. It's typical for offenses not to be polished to a high gloss shine this early in the season but we know from history that our offense is going to do better at the season progresses.
We have a situation which will play out and change everyone's attitude about our offense. Let it play.

Shipley only got 2 more carries than Mafah

so i think you are incorrect that Shipley will get most of the carries.
Shipley - 10 Mafah - 8 Pace - 5
DJ - 13 (includes 3 sacks)
