Today is the day to open the playbook

Sep 10, 2016, 9:58 AM

I don't care if we score 100 pts, if they can't stop us
then don't play with the big dogs.
It's time to put the foot on the gas and keep it there until win 15 is accomplished.
Play Clean but hard for 4 quarters, if they don't like it.
So be it.

Yes we keep playing not to lose and we are going to get beat.
By a team that we shouldn't lose to.

Dude I'm 6-3 220 lbs
And what does puting in the backups do and going 3 and out the whole second half .
It does nothing, what if DW gets hurt .
I will tell you we are in deep doo doo
That's what

Expand it maybe 10% but open up everything? No. Progress just like last year so we don't overwhelm. We need to do simple stuff better this game, like throw and catch. No dumb penalties on d.

I'm not talking about the kitchen sink but still throw the ball with the backups

Funny how the playbook seems "vanilla" when Clemson doesn't

Sep 10, 2016, 10:51 AM

execute or the opposition plays good defense.

I'd say both happened in Jordan-Hare.

I'm not talking about last week.
I'm talking everytime we get a decent lead.
You notice how 3-4 games last year got way closer than they should have.
You have a very talented, expirenced O that work hard to showcase their skills.
Let them go instead of over thinking the situation.

I would like the specifics on a game last year where Clemson

Sep 10, 2016, 11:00 AM

was up 3-4 TDs, and our offensive play calling allowed a team to "get close"

Well the ND game we almost lost and I don't care about the rain.
They shredded our D in the 4th, we run up the middle and punted the whole second half .

I was there so yea it was play not to lose.
At HOME

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No, we missed a field goal and dropped a touch down pass.

Sep 10, 2016, 11:16 AM [ in reply to Re: I would like the specifics on a game last year where Clemson ]

You're right about playing to win though, they did in that monsoon and ND turned it over 4 times to Clemson's 1.

I feel what you're saying bb and that game was closer than it should have been because of breakdowns in the defense, which plagued Clemson all of last year. Clemson won a game with a ~100 yards passing and that's brilliant to me.

Re: No, we missed a field goal and dropped a touch down pass.

Sep 10, 2016, 11:34 AM

The main thing I'm saying today vs Troy , a game we should win by the score we want to win by.
Get the rust off and when the backups come in let them get some confidence.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Impose "our" will - I hear that, bb.***

I don't think for one moment Dabo Swinney or this staff

Sep 10, 2016, 11:12 AM [ in reply to Re: Funny how the playbook seems "vanilla" when Clemson doesn't ]

cares about anything, but winning the game and they've done that better than any team in the country, save Alabama.

I saw a team go into Miami last year and open a can because everything they did worked. Maybe the 50/50 team we have now is what people take pause in, I'm not sure, but it's the team I've been longing for since theChad first arrived.

Wayne Gallman carried it 30 times in a 1 score game, that's awesome to me and really the difference in beating a team in the Peach versus winning the ACC and playing for a National Championship - a consistent and viable running game.
