You cannot bench kids that have signed big money because it means sponsors wasted their money. Huge pressure to keep them in.

I’ve talked about this with others. Sounds far fetched but I think it’s a very real possibility. Threaten with sponsor pulls or transfer portal if you take their guy out.

…the kid likely already has a contract, so money can’t be pulled just cause the kid was benched. Also, if you paid for DJs endorsement, would you really be happy in the show he put on today? You’d probably be better off with him on the bench.

that are signing these kids to NIL deals are also sponsoring various bowl games. Who is to say that they don't consider inviting you to their particular bowl if you make their investment (aka kid) look bad? That could definitely happen.
