support voting reform...which Manchin supports...and specifically stating that he (Saban) isn't calling for Manchin to "gut the filibuster", which is exactly what Manchin is trying to preserve.

So, Saban signed a letter telling Manchin to do exactly what he's doing?

I also wouldn't rule out that Saban, like so many, is grossly ignorant and is simply parroting zeitgeist talking points without any coercion or pressure whatsoever.

Couple of things...

1. Why isn't Saban writing his own Senators (Tuberville and Shelby) since they are HIS representatives in the Senate. Understand that Manchin is a friend but Manchin does not represent Saban - he represents West Virginians and Saban's opinion should have no bearing on Manchin's ultimate decision.

2. Since Saban is putting himself out there - why isn't he (or anyone else for that matter) providing evidence of the States that are denying current legal/eligible voters the ability to vote? Probably because it is not happening and this "voting rights" bill is a BS power grab by the Federal Government to take more Governing authority away from the States.

1) Manchin already supports the voting rights bill. He just doesn't support getting rid of the filibuster to pass it.

2) Saban doesn't support getting rid of the filibuster either, so this really doesn't mean much of anything. It's just virtue signaling for recruiting purposes.
