Week 13 Cleveland plays at Houston (Dec. 4th). Houston ownership has told Goodell, they don't want DW4 playing in Houston that week. The NFL is also concerned about the negative media attention that game would cover nationally.
So there you have it. After years of the NFL turning a blind eye to spouses getting the hell beat out of em', the league didn't all of a sudden become concerned about the mistreatment of women.

The #1 reason; that’s what you said. Not that they’re getting pressure from sponsors, fans, other owners, and literally everyone else on the planet who doesn’t wear either Clemson or Cleveland orange. Also not because they feel that they have proof that DW4 committed assault.
The NFL wants a year or more of suspension period point blank end of story. They didn’t get it so they appealed the decision. MAYBE during negotiation with deshaun’s pitiful legal team they turned down an offer of 8 games because, most importantly they want a year, but much less materially they sorta didn’t want him to play in NRG this soon after all this sheet storm. This is what these rando from twitter, who BTW aren’t siting any evidence, that you linked are hypothesizing.

They especially don’t care if it’s the owners are doing it. They don’t even care when owners cheat. They want the players to take all of the blame.

Doubt that is even a factor. There is rumor according to some ESPN pundits that the NFL owners as a whole are "angry" about his contract. I forget the various reasons. It wasnt about the dollar amount.
