NFL Draft Stuff

USC fan here, and I am a respectful Tiger fan too 364 days of the year...Both Uncles are Clemson Alum.
Anyway, I live in Idaho now so there does not seem to be a lot of pre-combine/draft talk..at least not about Clemson and USC.
Any of our local boys looking good for the NFL Combine/NFL prospects?
I can really only think of maybe 2-3 guys from USC that I would think could be good NFL players...Clemson has a lot (hence why we sucked this year...and you guys played for a National Championship).
Anyway, I wasn't sure which of your guys declared, and which decided to stay. I know Watson is back (I think he is only a Junior so was not eligible yet).
Anyway, often you guys have more inside and local information.
Also, good luck in this upcoming season and I look forward to chatting with you guys later.

I do like Trojans. They are a good product. No unplanned pregnancies throughout my life.
And well played.

This is off the top of my head, so hopefully TNET is quick to correct me if I'm missing anybody (if precedence means anything they won't disappoint.
Notable senior departures: WR Charone Peake, OG Eric MacLain, OT Joe Gore, C Ryan Norton (ultimately lost his starting job due to injury and elevated performance of returning starting center Jay Gulliermo), DT DJ Reader, LB BJ Goodson
Junior departures: DE Kevin Dodd, DE Shaq Lawson, S Jayron Kearse, S TJ Green, CB MacKensie Alexander
Notable returning juniors who were on-the-fence: RB Wayne Gallman, CB Cordrea Tankersley, DT Carlos Watkins
Also, S/Nickel Travis Blanks will forego his 5th year to test the NFL waters and RB Zac Brooks will forego his final year of eligibility to pursue other dreams and goals. These were ancillary players for us, but made major contributions to helping win games over their careers.
Obviously, based on these numbers, S and DE become a concern simply due to numbers, while CB also takes a shot losing a rare athlete and competitor in Alexander. Look for the names Austin Bryant, Richard Yeargin, and Clelin Ferrel to fill in at DE. CB will be a healthy competition between Mark Fields and Adrian Baker IMO with a slim possibility of true freshman Trayvon Mullen vying for snaps. Each of these names saw a decent number of significant snaps throughout the year, but none of them have been college starters yet in their careers and the inexperience is most certainly cause for hesitation.
The bodies are there. But at many positions they are not overly abundant. Tigers will need to remain relatively healthy to win, especially at DE, S, and CB.
Hope this was helpful.

Aldo, forgot Jordan Legget, returning TE

The rising senior was a Mackey Award finalist for the 2015 season and will be a major part of the tigers passing and running attack in 2016.

Very helpful, as a USC I am jealous...I remember when we use to have talent...can't believe we fell so far.
BTW who was that walk on WR who played so well against Bama. I can't remember his name. But what class is he now (Sophomore or Junior).
Reminds me of Chris Doering of Florida from the 90s. Didn't look fast, but got by people. Great hands and just seemed always open.
Up here in Idaho, the South East football scene just isn't covered very well. And ESPN is terrible now.
Thank you again.

Just noticed that Gallman is coming back. You guys will be challenging for the playoffs again (assuming health is good).
BTW Watson wins the Heisman this year...
Ya heard it here...like millionth (certainly not first)...but yeah he's really good and think will be on a mission.

That was Hunter Renfrow, walk-on freshman WR

He was actually triple option QB in high school. Hunter will not run past you, over-power you off the LOS, but he is incredibly "football intelligent". His route running is very technical and one misstep by the DB is all he needs to get adequate separation (see Minkah Fitzpatrick, 5-star Bama recruit, who learned first hand how difficult it is to blanket Renfrow). He will be our starting slot WR this year most likely.
As for Carolina, success comes and goes. As much as I hate to admit it, we are still fresh off the 5-peat relatively speaking. Football is a game of great emotion. With the right leadership or right recruit things can turn around in a hurry.
Best of luck this year

Yeah...I can read about Johnny Manziel, Lebron, SEC Football and Deflategate all I want!
But yeah ESPN is crap as far as more local news, at least local to South Carolina, the State that I am from, not the University.
