Swinney says Choice will play this season, discusses Shaq Anthony transfer

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said Thursday afternoon that freshman running back Adam Choice will avoid a redshirt and play this season. What does he say about the transfer of Shaq Anthony? What are the other options at tackle? Full Story »

As most know I have loved Adam Choice since before he committed to Clemson. I have also said that I think that he will be one of the Best pure RBs we have had at Clemson in a very long time. But I wouldn't expect to much from him at this point. Like Dabo has said, he still has to learn to block. And he has to know without any doubts what his task will be with every play that comes from the side lines. And I don't think he knows that yet but, I think that by mid season he will start to resemble the RB that I believe he is going to be for us. He will be a tough strong power runner between the tackles. He will just need some time to get it all put together. Personally I'm glad a red shirt won't be on Choice this year.

Gurley is 6'2, and Choice is 5'9. comparing apples to oranges.

Offensive Line May Need Power Days----

Aug 21, 2014, 8:42 PM

Especially if we want to power
run the ball down the throats
of teams all year long.

With two grossly underweight tackles, how do we address this" They should have been called on the carpet well back in the off-season, but obviously weren't. Too late now.

Don't know the offical reason why, but I hate to see Shaq leave the program. He' a good athelete and works hard. I think Choice will turn heads early and really surprise a lot of people with his hard work and ability to run between the tackles. Glad to see him not get a redshirt.

I've never bought in to the idea that Shaq Anthony was a quality offensive lineman. No big loss.

Hang tough Zac. Been excited about choice from the beginning

I wish he would've been an early enrollee but I think he'll be extremely good. He has a great RB build and gives us a new dynamic. Secret weapon...Shhhhh

It is What it is!

I very much dislike this statement. Really doesn't make any sense because nothing is really as it seems in life. Just a stupid statement for anyone to say.

Stupid to you maybe, but I didn't post it to please you.
