New Story: Streak Continues: Second half comeback not enough as Tigers fall to Heels

Streak Continues: Second half comeback not enough as Tigers fall to Heels

A disastrous first half and clutch 3-point shooting from North Carolina mean the streak is alive and well. UNC roared out to a 15-point first half lead and hit clutch shots down the stretch in defeating Clemson 87-79 at the Dean E. Smith Center Tuesday night, the 59th consecutive loss for the Tigers in Chapel Hill.Photo by Bob Donnan / USATODAY Full Story »

The odds makers had this game on the money. The point spread closed with 8 points, the game ended with cheats and refs with a 8 point lead. I'm thinking that maybe a ref or two, must have informed the odds makers that they wasn't giving Clemson enough in their boy Roy's home court!!!

Same ole same ole. We could go in there with an NBA team in CU uniforms and lose. I'll go to my grave with this legacy. Thank God we have football and the good news from C. Wilkins.

I am with you on that one. Thought the very same thing at the end of the game. My Dad died at 92 and never saw a Tiger win in Chapel Hill, and I really don't think I will either. Can they bring Matt Dougherty back to coach? We might have a chance.

Turnover Tigers

4 TOs in the first several minutes got our Tigers out of any rhythm and fed the heels fast break. Predictable outcome.p Poor shot selection didn't help. Brownell didn't have them ready imo.

Tough schedule

Jan 17, 2018, 7:23 AM

3 games in 5 days. with 2 on the road. NC had more energy and Tigers could not keep up with them on defense.

Make the free throws and you probably win this game. Missing the front end of a one and one is a killer and Thomas did that several times. Poor game by Grantham. You don’t have to play perfect to beat this tarheel team but you do have to do the easy things. B.B. had them ready with a good game plan. They didn’t execute. We will beat them by ten in LJ!
