New Story: Smilin' Milan ready to take on leadership role, be a factor on the field

Smilin' Milan ready to take on leadership role, be a factor on the field

Milan Richard isn’t overwhelmed by anything. Practice doesn’t overwhelm him. The thought of taking over for Jordan Leggett doesn’t get to him. He isn’t scared about having to replace so many key members of last year’s offense. And he certainly isn’t scared of doing interviews. Full Story »

Reserve TEs have shown fans nothing thus far. Huge shoes to fill. Legett became a complete player in 2016. These guys have a long way to go.

Oh they have shown me plenty. This dude might have the goods but he has to block better. I watched as he missed several blocks in the red zone against OSU.

You are right. They have all played so little that they haven't had much opportunity to show anything. I'm sure Jordan Leggett didn't look like much three years ago. If we take a look back at Clemson tight ends over the past 6-7 years, it's a very impressive group. I'm confident the players and coaches they have now will work things out.

Potential means that they haven't done anything on the field yet, but Milan has the potential to be an offensive weapon if he can block more consistently because he is A load with the football.

Reminds me of Dwayne Allen, I think he's going to have a breakout year.

I want him to succeed. He is plenty big enough, and he comes from a very athletic family. His Mothe was a scholarship track athlete at UGA, and his Uncle is Hershel Walker who won a Heisman trophy and was a gifted FB and track athlete at UGA, as well, and he did pretty good in the NFL too. The whole group of TE's is pretty solid, and just remember that Leggett wasn't a great blocker until he got more mature, as well.

Father was an All-American hurdler at UGA

Classy family. No one behind an All-American (Leggett) gets much P.T. But Milan is a winner. Next man up.

Maybe it's a mix bag this year but I'm most excited about Bell!

I can't wait to see what he can do at that position!
