Ohio St. offensive lineman gives his opinion on Tigers' defensive line

Two teams with great athletes on both sides of the ball will meet on New Year’s Eve in the College Football Playoff and the Fiesta Bowl. It’s going to be a battle, and one Buckeye said Clemson's defensive line has a certain look. Full Story »

These quotes are exactly what smart well coached teams say. No bulletin board material here.

I thought it was kind of funny when he said they won't see anything from us they haven't already seen in the rugged Big 10. Well keep thinking that. You will see overall team speed like you haven't seen this year.Michigan is good Wisconsin is good and Penn St is good BUT just because you beat up on each other doesn't make your conference great. We have heard this crap about the SEC every year and know it is garbage. Yeah you got some good teams but I still ain't impressed. Sorry just my 2 cents.

They see the same overall team speed in practice everyday. Just like we do. Do they see the same skill level, my bias has to be that they don't see the same skill as we have with our offensive players. But they see the speed.

Ok. Time for me to get off the can and put the snowblower to use.

Yeah, no team in the B1G has the total package, depth, versatility within that and Mr Composure at the helm, with all the throws like us.

Also, not that we are one, I did not realize the B1G has an old school triple option team like GT in their conference.

Landers is a defensive lineman and was likely referring to offensive line blocking schemes when saying he probably won't see anything new. If nothing else, the Big Ten fields some solid offensive lines

Respect

I love when opposing teams have respect for one another, and when fans do the same!

And I as well. I do see on this board a lack of respect for OSU. I live in OSU territory, and I see the reverse from Buckeye fans. Many are making plans to go to the title game, and bypassing the "warm up" in Arizona. I certainly hope our players do not take OSU lightly.

Big 10. I don't get the "look at us, we're in the Big 10" thing. As bad as the SEC, maybe worse.

Yeah they're recruiting at a very high level so i agree they see the speed just like we do. So the "X" factor has to be preparation and coaches- imo. That being said I believe we have the "X" factor.

I respect coach Meyer and the buckeyes team for sure but they have not seen or played against our ultimate "X" factor, D Watson in playoff mode.

DW is amazing during the regular season but when the playoff comes, the kid just settles in and goes into another gear. And with it being him and alot of others last year, and not winning the Heisman, I just have a feeling the focus during the playoff practices and game is also been on another level.

I CANT WAIT!!

Spot on. Watson is about to play at a different level. He has already graduated and the only prize left is the Natty. I believe the coaches tried to protect him this year ,which is why his designed runs were limited in the first 3/4 of the season. The tigers did what they had to do in order to make the Playoff. The kid is about to put on a show.

We didnt see a lot of QB runs early on because our Oline wasn't blocking well. If im Dabo I can tell in practice against our defensive front if my Oline can block. I think as the season went on the Oline got better which in turn brought on the running game from Deshaun. No need to run a QB if your Oline cant get a push your asking to get DW4 rocked!
