Five freshmen who will make an impact in 2018

Clemson boasts one of the most talented rosters in all of college football and will likely start the season in one of the top two spots. Led by a bevy of talented upperclassmen, there isn’t much room for the freshmen to shine. A few will make their mark, however. Full Story »

I see KJ redshirting honestly. He needs time in the weight room and we are deep enough at DE.

Carman will get PT to develop for next year, but I don't see him making an impact. Mop up duty action and working on his body composition this year.

Both will be stars in 2 years though!

Why do I never hear about Richard yeargin. I know he's not a freshman of course but every time someone talks about depth on the defensive line he's not mentioned. Two years ago in the playoff and championship game he played great. If he wouldn't have gotten hurt he might have even started over Austin Bryant the last two years.

I had the same thought when I read this article

Yeargin will be a key part of the DL this season I believe.

He's not fully healthy and...

Didn't participate in spring ball. Just my input, but...
By the time he gets half way ready to see the field. He
will be too far behind guys like..
Kelly, Thomas, Henry, Foster and Ruldolf. Hate it for
Yeargin, but I think he's about done.

Kyler McMichael will be DeAndre McDaniel 2.0. Kid is going to be a stud in the secondary.

You don't hear much about Yeargin but he has been mentioned as having a setback with his injury.

The one you don't hear about is Logan Randolph. He was turning heads last year before he got hurt but what happens now that we have 5* studs there now as well? Does Logan become a hole filler at middle LB after Lamar moves to NFL?

I wish the Watkins comparisons would stop. If Elliot wants to give him high praise,
fine. But Watkins he isn't or will be, watch.
