Five breakout players during the spring

Spring practice is a time for coaches to evaluate the talent on hand, and there are times when those players do enough to warrant repeated mentions. With that in mind, TigerNet takes a look at five players that had a breakout spring based off of player interviews, coach interviews, and the spring game.

I'm very excited about our prospects and with the plethora of talent we have on this team. I am particularly pleased to hear about John Simpson coming on so strong. I say it too often, I know, but we need more real quality OL who can dominate the Line of Scrimmage. Get that asset in place, and the rest will fall right into place. Very impressed with what we have. Also, so glad i don't wake up wondering what "Big Brother" is going to do. Bwak, bwak!

I agree about Simpson. Skill sets are nice, but road pavers

get the work done. When our Oline is at the level of Wisconsin, Bama and Stanford, with our skill set, the sky is the limit. Things will almost be considered unfair.

+1 to ya! I agree completely. And I have been pulling for Big John since before he committed. I really believe he can help upgrade the online.

All very deserving on recognition

Higgins, Rodgers and Mullen have big time star and NFL potential. And IMHO Mullen was our best DB last year. Foster looks like diamond in the rough and glad to hear Simpson has stepped up. But the story is and will continue to be Trevor Lawrence unless Hunter Johnson can somehow beat him out. TL, playing the most important position on the field, is the ticket to the natl championship game.
