“I spoke to coach Bates yesterday evening. He’s just awesome,” Lacey said. “He just wanted to tell my dad and me that I’m a priority, and if I want to come to Clemson they’d love to have me. That’s pretty cool coming from the reigning national champion.”
“We’re trying to set up a date,” Lacey said. “Coach Bates is going to let us know, but sometime in August.”
Seems like we are in the drivers seat here to be honest, since he is trying to set up a visit in August, the month he would make his decision.

I think ND has been considered the favorite recently because Lacy is very high on academics. Would not surprise me to find Clemson near the top with ND though

ND may be easier for the family to watch him play as well.
I do recall that the Dad was very impressed with Dabo when he visited the last time, and rode around town.

He is one of the guys at the top of our boards at DT for 2019 class. He's a stud and would be great addition amdnfirt piece to the 19 class, tho I read people think he is a Notre Dame lean. I think we have a legit and good chance at him but wouldn't be surprised if we didn't land him. Hope he chooses a program on the up plus if he does go ND he might change over to us if (and I think he will) Brian Kelley is fired after this season. Go Tigers!!

I coach baseball in his district. He's a very nice kid that would be a great addition. Very respectful. I think he will be good wherever he plays, but I think he'd have a higher ceiling as a guard on offense. He moves very well. He stole a base in a in his game against us.
Will be glad to have more Clemson fans in my area if he commits.

If he moves well, Clemson may try to keep him a DT, we have moved several from DT to OG the last couple of years, I think Cervenka is now back up center and came in as a DT.

I think the plan all along with gage was to move him to offense. From greenwood and know some of his friends and GF and during recruitment they mentioned the switch and at the time gage told them no I want to play DT and if he doesn't get a chance there he prob wouldn't come to clemson so coaches promised him he will be a DT and I guess he finally realized his best shot to see the field was to move to offense so he made the change. Him being prob the best Heavyweight wrestler ever In the state, I think he will be a very good center/guard with his knowledge of leverage.
