Williams won't have the kind of day we might hope. The OSU defenders down field are NFL futures and are awesome when playing man. We'd better run it well, because this won't be a highlight reel for our frisbee-catching dogs. This game, although filled with future NFL skill players, will be won in the trenches. Low scoring IMHO. I think this is a Renfrow/Leggett highlight game. Mike W will garner most of the over the top help, Cain may not be able to get seperation, 10-15 yrd routes may be our bread and butter

I do not care if the best CB in the NFL was covering Williams. If it is one on one Mike will win the majority of the time so do not give me this crap.

Last night's Orange Bowl encouraged me. I think FSU was clearly better, even though Michigan kept it close and nearly stole the game.
If Clemson can make this a track meet we win. If it's low scoring (less than 50 total points) Tigers are in trouble! You may be right on the pass defense. It's worried me too. We'll know early. But I would still put my $$$ on CU, and take the OVER 59!

Williams will be himself an NFL receiver that will out play and score many TDs in the NFL with those guys that will be covering him tonight in the NFL. If Williams can't get by those guys tonight, why would the NFL want him in a few months.

The key will be Clemson establishing a running game to open up the passing. Also I believe Deshaun will need to be a part of the running game.

This game will never see a second in OT. The game will remain close until the 4th QTR, that is where Clemson will when this game. That is my two cents, but it will end up being worth a quarter close to midnight!!! Boom Clemson wins, it's the only way we can win the NC in a couple of weeks, and we are going to win that game also!!!

We played in the Chink-Fil-A Bowl last year?
Anyhow...if we don't make too many mistakes (in gap defense and turnovers, particularly) and can establish the run (Gallman gains 80+ and Watson gains 50+ and total rushing yards total more than 150) we win. Otherwise, we get burned by OSU's outside sweeps and the over-pursuit of our linebackers.

David, thanks for all the game overviews this year. They are so helpful for knowing what to expect and watch for. I didn't see mention of Barrett's running game. va techs QB play between the tackles (delays) was nearly a game changer. To me, this makes the game closer than predictions here. Thoughts all?

I may be wrong, but I anticipate an officiating crew that will not "appreciate" this Tiger team. The close calls and the "targeting" calls will go against the Tigers, and we'll have to work without a linebacker and/or a defensive back for most of the game.
This may be the "hidden" edge that goes to OSU. We MAY find ourselves going against more than eleven men on the field tonight!!!
Nevertheless, GO TIGERS!!!
Play your usual great game and prove wrong all those that doubt the ability of this Clemson team!!!
