Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables walked off the field after last week’s scrimmage in Death Valley, and his displeasure was evident. Venables was late to the media gathering because he made his defense run for an extra 20 minutes. Full Story »

He is my favorite coordinator on either side of the ball that we’ve ever had in my lifetime. One thing I hate is when a defense has no intensity, and you never have to worry about that with him on the sidelines.

... and I have no doubt that he would love to be back out on the field. It would be a little obvious if he had a uniform made up with his name on it though, right?

UNLESS ... there was another player on the team with that last name and he could 'temporarily' just "borrow" that uniform. But what are the chance of THAT happening?!?! :D

Brent might just have a battle on his hands though, if he things Jake is going to relinquish his shirt for Dad without a fight. :)

It would be hilarious if Brent and Jake actually admitted that they joked about it ... because, without any knowledge about it whatsoever and my pure speculation, I'm 99% sure that they already have!!!

There's no other defensive coach in the country that I would rather have coaching our boys than Brent Venables ... class, character, intensity, and Dad.
