Air Clemson: Coaches used Saturday to get passing game back in rhythm

Facing an overmatched team from The Citadel Saturday afternoon, Clemson’s coaching staff could have easily followed the game plans of previous weeks and worked on the running game. Instead, with a trip to South Carolina next week and the ACC Championship against Miami in two weeks, the coaches elected to get quarterback Kelly Bryant and the Tigers’ anemic passing attack back on track. I have ACC Network, but couldn’t find it. Then when I tried to stream it online it said blacked out....wth.

I had the exact same problem. What you had to do was go to YouTube and type in Clemson vs Citadel live 2017 and they were streaming it live on there, that’s the only way I was able to find it. Hope that helps you out in the future if you have the same problem. We looked amazing though!

KB threw the ball short virtually every time on the long throws. HJ on the mark. Great to see him get some snaps. Excellent O today, but it was Citadel.

Hunter Johnson put the ball on a dime. He throws so much better than Bryant. You don't have to be a coach to see that. It was good to see the young receivers get some playing time and show what they can do too. We just need to use these guys. We're 11 games into the season, so they're pretty much 2nd year players at this point.

You have to keep in mind the games we played as well: KB gets hurt against Wake. Not 100% and reinjured at Syracuse. I'm not even going to start with that one. We could've still won that game. GT is possession football--not going to air it out against them. NCSt had maybe the best DL we see all season. FSU sucks this year, but again a talented defense. It's understandable that our passing game and offense as a whole has has trouble. Hopefully we just needed a tune-up to get the wheels turning again. We'll see.
