A lot going on today. Tony Elliott (possibly) to Virginia (but if he's taking the family, sounds done). DRad to Miami. A lot moving parts.
Coach Swinney landed back in Oconee around 2 today and was obviously working on "next" before he got here. What nobody knows - who else does Brent take to OU, and who does Tony poach? Whatever happens, I don't expect CDS to tarry. I was told to expect "specific closure soon."
Now we wait.
I had thoughts that perhaps Streeter goes as OC and Kyle Richardson (another great football mind) might step into a staff role. But Streeter interviewed at Duke, he might go with Tony, maybe Kyle goes, maybe JP Losman or Cole Stoudt goes. Just so much unknown at this point.

Do you think Streeter would go to Duke or UVA if he's offered OC??? If so there is trouble internally. Who would take either of those jobs over same job at Clemson?

I higjly doubt Dabo has offered it to him at this point. Tony isn’t even officially gone yet and we’re not the U. This will work out with time. Any speculation about Streeter is premature at this point.

One thing is for sure,Dabo has plan. He is always ahead of game with the changes that may come. He has always known that this day was coming. I'm not sure Streeter is ready for OC, remember when TE was out with covid? STreeter did a really poor job calling plays. We really do need some new blood at OC

Thank you David for helping bring a calming affect through so much uncertainty.
I am still “ All In “ with Dabo and Clemson. I think support from the fan’s is more important now than in a long time. We had a lot of adversity during the season and a stable coaching staff has become somewhat Chaotic. So it is vital for the current players and recruiting for The Clemson Family to pull together.

Hope Streeter stays and gets a shot with OC. He had some of the top offenses in the country as an OC.

I played in the old western 3-A in the 80’s too. I lost half of my season because Tom Bass’ (old Clemson coach) staff told his lb’s and db’s to take my knees...allegedly. That was what his players later told me. I’m no Jimmy Greenbeans but can I be on your staff?

But if streeter goes, I hope out Qb from Texas doesn't start looking to stay closer to home. It is a must that we get him.
I don't understand why everyone else can go hire big name coordinators and I hear no names regarding our jobs but promotion from within. Just don't get it.

It’s just Dabo’s way of doing things. Takes well respected folks out of high schools or former players and raises them up in hopes of eventually being promoted to a coordinator spot. (At least that’s how I view it)

Do you recall when Venables was announced as coordinator? Took everyone by total surprise. His lack of commentary, lack of naming an interim for bowl game tells me he’s got at least one outside iron in the fire.

That's okay if they all go to Duke with Elliot they were terrible this year. Plus next OC will probably bring his group of offense assistant coaches.
