Never thought I'd say this, but I feel bad for Ivanka!

Jan 21, 2022, 6:13 AM

The 1/6 Committee sent an interesting letter to Ivanka yesterday. You can find it online if you wish but I thought the part on page 2 was most interesting. As January 6th approached, President Trump attempted on multiple occasions to persuade Vice President Pence to participate in his plan. The panel wrote that Keith Kellogg -- Pence's national security adviser who was with Trump in the White House when the riot was happening -- testified about how the former President attempted to coerce Pence during a phone call the morning of January 6. Ivanka Trump was present for Trump's end of the call. In testimony to the committee, Kellogg reiterated that the former President told Pence, "You're not tough enough to make the call." "Mike, it's not right. You can do this. I'm counting on you to do it. If you don't do it, I picked the wrong man four years ago. You're going to wimp out," read the transcript of the interview that Kellogg confirmed.

Kellogg also revealed in his testimony to the committee that after the phone call ended, Ivanka Trump turned to him and said, "Mike Pence is a good man," to which Kellogg affirmed, "Yes, he is." Wow, to put your daughter in that situation where she knows the true villain is her dad. And then he would not listen to her later in the day about calling off the attack. And then you have the regular Trump business stuff in NYC where she is implicated in the alleged wrongdoing on the overvaluation of their assets. I wonder how much she really had to do with that?

Of course, there is this also this ...

So, yep, there a'int enough money in the world that would make it worth having to deal with this INSANITY. Anyway, flame away Trumpers.

Trump deserves the pot getting stirred. He stirred the pot and now he has to live with it. People comment on it. Maybe people like Hannity should keep him off tv, but he is on FOX saying all kinds of crazy things often, even last night in his long rambling interview.

Cool, don't know if I would agree with "vast" but I agree that a majority here does and this is good. Explain why 60 percent of Pubs say he should run in 2024, even after what we saw from him after 11/6/20 or so. Stirring the pot?, I suppose so.

Anyway, I just found it interesting as #### that after Ivanka watched her dad give MP crap on the phone, her response was "MP is a good man". To me, it is her admitting that her dad is NOT and this is where I felt sorry for her and then I remembered the creepy things he had said before, like that video and this one also ....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0_axTST2aY

So I decided to add it in also cause it also makes me feel sorry for her.

In October of 2021 80% of Repubs wanted Trump to run again in 2024. In a new poll only 36% Repubs want him to win the primary with 8 other candidates. That's still the lead though. Desantis was second with 19%. Who knows how accurate those polls are though?

If that were true, then why so much hate on here for Cheney?

I do not feel bad for Ivanka. Those family members who have spoken out, like Mary Trump, and those close to the family, say Ivanka is a mini-Trump and the most like her father in his narcissism and selfishness and immorality of any of them. Among other things, she owned a sweat shop in Indonesia for her fashion line that was awful even by Asian standards.

I do think the fundamental difference between Ivanka and her father, though, is in their relationship with society. It has been commented more than once that Donald is a "poor man's idea of what a rich man looks like." He's a clod. Uncultured, coarse, brash, utterly disruptive and indifferent to social niceties and graces. He's a bull in a China shop, an outsider, the virtual definition of "new money" even though he inherited millions from his own father. He spent years searching for validation and acceptance into New York society, never achieved it, and late in life seems determined to burn it all down in retaliation.

Ivanka is the complete opposite in that regard. She's a Society princess, who has achieved the social mastery that her father always obviously craved. She's cultured, graceful, painstakingly manicured, an almost idealized (if manufactured) beauty, utterly at ease in any social situation and innately dominant in any social hierarchy. And she's calculating. She doesn't want to burn the world down because she owns it and dominates it. Whereas her father's root reflex is to smash everything, she goes completely the opposite way. She doesn't like messes.

You can also see the man she married is not much like her father in that regard either. Jared Kushner is a whole lot more like her than he is like Donald.

That peasant revolt Donald started in the Capitol would have been repugnant to her. It was...messy. On the other hand, she's a calculating social climber and is clearly is not willing to stray too far from her father's graces, either, because it creates business opportunities and access for her. So she absolutely will not testify against her father until he's outlived his usefulness to her.

Her and Jared do crave acceptance back into high cultured society, though, and they've found themselves increasingly unwelcome in the old New York society circles where they used to live. Mary Trump thinks Ivanka's the most likely of any of the children to turn and turn publicly on her father eventually, for exactly that reason. It's a way back in, for them. But they're going to profit as much as they can first.

I think it's coming, eventually. But now is almost certainly not the time. She won't cooperate, not now.

Somehow knew this one was coming and I found it to be very good! In fact, you convinced me, she's a POS and I hope she gets exactly what she deserves also! And like, who would ever do an interview again with their dad after the first time he said that type of creepy crap. I do appreciate that she said "MP was a good man", just because he was not willing to burn the constitution and the republic, but let's be honest, he is just a POS politician that has sold us out like the rest of em. He's even worse in that he wears the cloak of Christianity while lying to our faces. Most Christians at least know that Trump has never touched a Bible, well except that time he had the crowd beaten back so he could get that photo-op in front of that church. I thought he was gonna burst into flames instantly, but no such luck. Anyway, it's fun getting all the new details everyday it seems from the 1/6 committee! Go DOJ!

Where stuff's going to go wrong for Donald, IMHO, is when he picks up that first felony ding and can no longer run for president. The second he can't run, this president-in-exile thing he's doing is done and his control over the GOP dissipates like a soap bubble going poof.

At that point, it's likely going to be utter collapse for him. All the enemies he accumulated will still be there, sharpening their knives, but his allies and hangers-on - he has no actual friends - will desert him, and with his air of invincibility broken, all but his most genuinely loyal and loving supporters - and he does have those - will turn away from him in disgust. The biggest trait Donald offers his supporters is that he's a coarse, brash, cloddish outsider who wins, the second that is proven to not be the case, he's the hero with the metaphorical feet of clay. And I think it's over for him. And all the money he owes - $1.3 billion and counting! - will suddenly come due...because he's of no further use to the guys who fronted it to him. (Russia, cough, Russia.)

Most close observers think he's going to go out like his mentor Roy Cohn. It seems...inevitable.

Do you feel bad for Biden’s first wife that he had murdered?

Do you feel bad for that woman that Biden raped?

Just determining if your compassion is/is not tied to your TDS.

Well, I think the first line is too far down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole to even comment on but I would ask you if he told the driver of that vehicle to spare his sons and take his wife and daughter only? Anyway, I feel bad for any raped woman and I wouldn't put it past Mr. Magoo. As far as TDS, it is my opinion that the only ones with TDS are the ones who ever chose to believe one word out of the scumbags mouth.
