Good food, but unfortunately will kick you out for bringing your own beer. Haven’t been there in years and have no plans to ever go back even though they they probably don’t recognize me anymore.

Are theses real friends or friends that are taking you to a restaurant that doesn’t serve alcohol so they don’t have to spend too much money trying to talk you into working under them in a pyramid marketing scheme? If I had a dollar for every time….

Technically not sparklecity but lake Bowen fish camp in Inman is pretty good

There is a difference between a fish camp, and a restaurant that serves seafood. Many fish camps serve on metal or plastic trays....it's a fish camp. Google the history on them and you'll see the metal and plastic trays are a huge advancement.

If you want ambiance, go somewhere else. If you want good (and mostly fried) seafood, Lake Bowen and The Flounder are the two best in the Spartanburg area.

The Flounder is still open? Impressive.

My family used to go there often when I was a kid. I remember when it burned down (around 1980 I believe). Thankfully rebuilt quickly.

Roebuck Fish Camp is good

I like the wagon wheel as well but it’s on the other side of Spartanburg near Cowpens

The pioneer was my favorite. Used to get the buffet and eat nothing but trout bites
