WOW, was that ugly. How NC State was in the top 15 ... is the overall state of college football that bad? Decision in the last 2 minutes? High school coaches do a better job of game management...

Finley is the #2 rated QB???? Those were some bad passes and no situational awareness of where they were in the game... 6th year QB??

Doeren is high on the coaching list? After that finish????

and unreal how mediocre their program has been last 25 years.. yet fans act as if they matter in college football (similar to coot fans).

It is NC State: With great excitement comes great disappointment. That applies to everything they do.

They even print that on their acceptance letter:
Congrats, you are going to college! And that college is NC State


The coots get informed at the court hearing.

Just furthers how useless polls are. Who cares if you can claim 30 years from now that you finished 2018 ranked in the top 25? The polls mattered back in the day when they awarded titles, but the modern era has no need for them.

While you could rank a top ten, like most sports there are usually only 5-6 teams that you can tell have to ability to win a title. Why rank any more? The CFP show reaching that final ranking screen with 1-6 is all that is needed during the season.

One reason....tv ratings. A matchup of ranked teams gets more hype and ultimately more viewers.

Admittedly I scan the schedule for the ranked matchups and don’t pay much attention to any other games.
