NC State dump-offs to the middle of the field

On third down, NC State's RB would run 5 yard routes to the middle of the field that was vacant of LBs. It seems like they converted multiple times with this route.

Elliot never tried this same play. In fact we don't really ever throw it to the middle of the field. We would have won with any other OC.

We tried once but the receiver couldn’t haul it in. DJ there it about 145 mph, high, and slightly behind the target.

And that's probably why we're not seeing it utilized. The other time he tried, it got tipped for an int.

We tried finding Davis Allen, but the throw was low and late, so it got tipped and picked. Then the effort was abandoned.
