Natty Tickets

Dec 27, 2019, 12:48 PM

Pending a Clemson win on Saturday, does anyone know how to get one national championship ticket at a reasonable price? It’s been my dream to go to see them in a national championship but have lived abroad until now. Do you all think it’s better to buy a ticket before the semifinal? The cheapest are around $1400. Any input much appreciated. Go Tigers!

Depends if LSU wins or not. If LSU wins, I would guess your best time to buy would be the day or two after tickets get distributed to the teams (probably around the 2nd-3rd, or possibly the following Monday). This will create an increase in number of listings, and the highest number of available tickets which generally drives the price down some. If LSU wins, I see it being similar to Tampa. You can probably get a ticket for under $1000 for a couple days there, but they will then creep back up as supply decreases.

If OU wins, I would say wait it out. They will still travel well and it's still drivable for them (around 10 hours from campus), but as most games, secondary prices should drop pretty much up until gametime.

Keep in mind the cheapest ticket face value is like $475. I wouldn't really expect them to drop below face at any point, no matter the teams.

Thanks for the insights. Looks like it’s best to wait until a few days after the semifinals unless Oklahoma wins. I would be shocked if OU upsets LSU. Need Tigers to take down OSU first.

"Reasonable price" and Natty are mutually exclusive!***

How do you keep Gamecocks out of your yard?

What does a Gamecock grad call a Clemson Tiger grad in 2 years?

Definitely agree with that, but was hoping to avoid +$1500 for nosebleeds. Most important thing is to be in Clemson section(s)
