Nations with lower obesity have lower health insurance costs

Feb 23, 2017, 1:11 PM

Just a quick glance at it but Singapore and Thailand have some of the lowest health insurance costs and also the some of the lowest obesity rates.

Correlation or just coincidence?

I'm sure there is no connection...

Fat people TYPICALLY have higher cholesterol, heart problems, diabetes, etc.

I would also health costs are cheaper in countries with less smoking, alcoholism, and having buttsechs.

I wonder if the government control HC cost.

If not I'm sure the economy there makes the incomes of professionals way lower than here.

I'm satisfied they don't have the same supply of junk food and other eats which are full of chemicals.

Coincidence.

Fat country has more money to spend and resources.

Starving county has no extra money to spend on needless medical issues.

Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect: like a man, who hath thought of a good repartee when the discourse is changed, or the company parted; or like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead.
