Im not sure what CU can do about it., He bought the ticket from a stranger either in person or online. CU cant police this. Years ago before CU scanned tix at the gate he would have gotten in.

They have 100% authentic tickets....

If it’s from a scalper- not much you can do... just take pictures of the scalpers when you buy them so you have something for the police report.

Computer printed or true counterfeit tickets? After done friends of mine got burned at the ACCCG in Charlotte, I would not buy scan tickets unless verified by ticket office or someone like StubHub with an actual presence.

Clemson has already done just that. Buy from Clemson or Stubhub. 100% authentic

Until the police do anything about the fine young men openly holding up a finger while displaying bouquets of tickets, there isn't much you can do. Scalpers sharing street corners with cops and openly showing their wares, the cops are approving of their crimes by looking the other way.

Saw a guy get turned away at the IPTAY office just before the Auburn game with 4 counterfeit tickets. He walked up to the counter to tell them they weren’t working. They simply kept them and politely but unapologetically said ‘I’m sorry these are counterfeit’ we have to keep them and that was it.
Saw guys outside the Natty buy 2tix for $2,000 ea and they sure looked counterfeit to me.
Use stub hub or ACE ticket. Not worth the risk today with the quality of printers anyone can have.

State law allows you to resell tickets for no more than $1 over face value. So yeah, cops might be on the same corner to keep them from selling tickets over the legal value. Doesn't mean they are looking the other way.

State law allows ticketholders to sell their tickets for any amount they wish, if the game is declared "open market" by the original issuers. Which Clemson does every year.

I’ve scalped for years and the first time I got counterfeit tickets was at the USC-Clemson game last year. Only paid $20 for it though and it got me through the gate with no problems. But once I got to the seats there were like 5 of us with the same seats.
It was a slender tall white guy in a hoodie. Certainly not one of the black guys this thread will stereotype. He didn’t look like a scammer.

See what happens when someone buys tickets from a scammer? It hijacks threads from scamming, to racist remarks, to slave labor building campuses. We almost went around the world in 60 seconds on this thread.

More likely that they are writing tickets for MIPs
I will say that I saw marked police last year on 2 occasions with scalpers and it looked they were radioing their tickets in to verify if they were real. May have been doing something else but I thought was pretty cool.
