I hope Dabo knows what to do but simply will not throw his coordinators or QB under the bus in a press conference.
However, I have felt that way before. It's hard to tell with Dabo, but we are clearly going backward, no question about that.
As many here have pointed out, there are real head-scratchers, like hiring only ex-players to friends from Alabama to be on the staff. Especially when you see them continually get out-coached like yesterday.
Development is a huge issue too. Looking at the different position groups from 2018 and how they are progressing or digressing from then to now makes it really clear.
QB - wayyyyy backward, WR - wayyyy backward, RB - same, OL - same.
DL - backward, LB - same, secondary - backward
Is this recruiting and/or development? But it all falls under coaching. For example, Dan Brooks was a heck of a coach, and our DL rocked. We have studs up and down our DL roster, but they sometimes disappear.
The non-use of the portal and keeping DJ in when he clearly has lost all confidence make you wonder.
I wonder how many losses like USC and at ND it will take before real changes are made?

I would like to see Cade win or lose. I appreciate DJ, and my heart hurts for him because he seems like a great kid, but a great QB he is not.
I was stubborn, but I am convinced we need to give Cade a shot.

This was the hardest thing to figure out from yesterday. In the first half the perimeter running game was clicking and producing a lot of yards. In the second half all of those straight runs up the middle with no misdirection just put us in a hole. It was frustrating to see us keep doing it.
