I agree, it's great you're doing that for your son.

My dad helped a bit but made me pay most if it. I don't blame him because it helped me appreciate money however it's also pretty awesome of you as a parent to help your child like this!

Thanks... I'm glad my wife and I have had the means to put our kids through school. Unlike I did at Clemson, they have both maximized their opportunity. I did enough to get by... but I absolutely maximized my social skills.

We had an activity card, and half the time they didn't even ask for it. Picked them up in the lower level of the library.

'72-'76, student tickets were doled out at Tilman Hall.

And, it didn't matter how early you tried to get in line, there would be several Frat guys in front of you with their cigar boxes full of Student ID's, getting tix for everyone in their "House". It was just a way of life. I never had time for frivolities such as belonging to a fraternity, I was too busy hanging on by my fingernails, grade wise.

I need to talk to your son and explain to him the advantages of changing majors and extending his college career.
Even the football players got an extra covid year.

Yeah, my oldest graduated 3 years ago....youngest is going in this fall....and I can def tell you the price in 2022 is worse than 2016. I was actually sticker shocked when we got the bill and I was like, this is $8-9K more than our oldest just 3 years ago. We're blessed to do same for our youngest - pay his way in. Oldest came out with a little bit of student loan debt. Last one though.....4 more years, 4 more years, 4 more years......

That’s ok. Just think of all the liberal arts baristas that are going to have their “student debt” cancelled. You’ve done good.

Congratulations, that’s so awesome. Both of my girls are done & fully paid, my oldest daughter got scholarships that covered 95% of her education.
Now my youngest hits me with buying horses ? many are investments that we have done well with but not all…lol

I'll never forget after we had our first child (a girl), I went with my wife to her 1st pediatrician checkup. At the end of the visit the pediatrician said, "Mr Howard go back to work, girls are expensive." I took his advice, and he was right. Girls cost much more than boys.

After paying falls tuition we are 5.5 years out of 8 total in the books. If only the economy wasn't falling apart all around us I might be a touch optimistic.
