Various post today. I can honestly say this is the first time I have been embarrassed to be part of Clemson. Many of fans may not care what I think but I have been a fan since the 70’s. Dabo and his recruits have achieved so much over the time Dabo has been at Clemson. All of those coaches and kids ( remember they are kids) are hurting bad. What has happened to people where they get so angry anbout an loss and can say so many hateful things directed at Dabo, DJ, Brandon Streeter and many others. If it’s all taken away from us and we never achieve Elite Status again for many fans it would be what you deserve. I made a few negative comments today during the game but we lost. I have moved on because my life is not define by whether my team wins or loses. And I am not talking about all fans. Just those fans who have lost their minds and post so many negative spiteful post. I will say it more than once I am proud of the coaches and this team. I am proud of DJ. He may not have had his best day but he has lead us to 20 plus wins in 2 years.
What would you do if one of those Clemson players was your kid. Especially DJ which a lot of fans have said some really spiteful comments. What if we started posting hateful stuff about you kid in the band, at a dance recital , or some other event where they perform in public.
Tomorrow many of those same poster’s will get up go to a church somewhere. You will carry a Bible into the Church , sing Hymns and act like you are tuned into to God’s word. When you are there try to remember how you responded to todays loss. And What you posted on social media. Post that will be read by many players, coaches and recruits. In fact many of those spiteful hateful post may have cost us recruits. Some of you want go to church or worship God tomorrow or prayer tonight. But those of you on this board please pray for the players and the coaches. Think about your actions and how it affects a team that needs our love and support.
Some of it may be the alcohol talking but this are no excuses for our fan base to act this way.
We may still win 12 games. If we do it will be because these players and coaches did it for themselves and those true fans who really love Clemson win or lose.
Dabo, all Coaches and players especially DJ you still have my support. If I posted anything spiteful today I was wrong and ask for your forgiveness.
Those of you that continue to post negative spiteful post. I will call the fans who came on board after Clemson started having success. The minute this team had adversity you jumped off the bandwagon selling out Clemson.
Those of you full of hate and continue to post your spiteful comments tonight directed towards Dabo and Staff, DJ or any other player, I pity you and will pray for you. I am far from being a saint. I am fortunate God loves me so much that he sent his Son to die on the cross for our sins.
It very sad our fan base cannot appreciate what Dabo has accomplished. Eventually we were going to fall off of the mountain into the valley. I just did not realize so many fans could make it such sn embarrassing ugly experience. But it does not mean we can’t make to the top again.
Fans you know who you are and what you said. If it was spiteful then remember karma always goes full circle.
I am proud of this team, all of our coaches and the heart they have in the face of adversity. May God Bless you all tonight. Thank you for a really good season even though we did not win them all. Die hard Tiger fan for life.

Shouldn’t personally attack players or coaches, but to act like there aren’t serious problems is absolute insanity. I feel bad for KJ Henry, Ship, and others who give everything only to have the coaches throw their efforts to the side. It’s wild that KJ and Ship took on the blame that the coaches who are grown man should’ve burden because it is their fault. But you are correct at the personal attacks it’s ridiculous but it’s commonplace is todays twisted world

If you do think this loss is not on our coaches, you are as loss as they are…..the team and fans deserve an apology from our coaches and not from our players….and that is all we have gotten thus far…..that the real problem with all of this!

The only thing fans “deserve” is admission to watch a game after you have paid for your tickets. Not entitled to anything more. Certainly not an apology from anyone because your feelings are hurt. Not coaches, not players and not other fans who disagree with your opinion regardless of whether your opinion is good or bad at this point.

Posts like this are foolish. If you are serious that somebody who may not be a CU graduate nullifies their opinions is trash. Who cares where you went to school if you are a fan of a team. The problem for all the big complainers on here, is their life hinges on a collegiate football team. Think about how sad that is if you can’t move on from a loss. Yeah all of us Clemson fans are pissed about the result today and how the last two seasons have gone, but to act as if your life is in shambles over it is sad. No matter what all the opinions are on this board…newsflash….Dabo isn’t listening, nor does he care what you think. He’ll run the program his way and yeah we all have the right to complain but sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses.

Proud graduate 83 and I agree our coaches and the effort sucks If we dont clean house we will be a 7 win team just like we were for decades after holding up Danny Ford too lobg I know I lived thru it and that is exactly where we are headed I think its tie to thank Dabo Put him on the ring and move on to a coach who lives in this new world

One of the problems is people don't want to believe the problems are as bad as they are. They want some magical fix. They think just firing Streeter will fix everything. Or benching Uiagalelei will fix everything.
The truth is the program is in a tough spot right now. The good news is that it's a whole lot easier to get out of a tough spot when you are 10-2 than when you are 6-6.

yesterday was due to the inability of the QB to function, yet again. Thing is, this was his worst performance of his career and he just so happened to show it in the state championship game.
There are no coaches, magic plays, or magic schemes thar could fix what we saw yesterday. If you want to blame anyone other than the most responsible individual, then blame DJs psychologist.
And we have the 27th SOS, numbskull. Only 3 teams ranked ahead of us are higher.

While I absolutely agree that we shouldn’t launch personal attacks, it is appropriate to remember that these coaches are paid handsomely to do their jobs. They have everything they could possibly want or need at Clemson to be successful. Nobody expects them to be perfect, but I think we can all agree that they have fallen below the standard which has been set for them the last two years.
So yes, we should support them. We should cheer for them. We should remind ourselves that they care, and are surely as disappointed as we are right now.
But they are not above criticism, and they should not be viewed as heroes to be worshiped. They have flaws, and should humble themselves and realize that they can be better coaches. Perhaps they have done that, but to me they seem very defensive and dismissive in recent interviews.

While much of the criticism is stupid and over-the-top, still, I would add that the "these players are kids" mantra rings a bit hollow. We ask some people their ages to go to war zones and risk death, and we praise those guys as heroes.
These are pretty decently compensated young men who, like their extravagantly-paid coaches, are not above criticism. It's no different anywhere else: if you have a highly public job, expect high-volume, public criticism. It goes with the territory.

I have said nothing spiteful or nasty in any of my comments, but here is my honest assessment;
1) Dabo has got to lose his ego when it comes to DJ.
2) When DJ is on he still can't hit the iceberg.
3) Our OC play calling needs some rethinking. I'm thinking Jeff Scott.
4) Our defense deserves better.
5) Cade needs to tell Dabo I start the ACCCG or I transfer out. He did not even give # 2 a chance in this game, which goes back to 1).
Oh, and I don't drink alcohol.

If DJ was my son I would suggest he pull himself.. I honestly don’t think he wants the burden of being the front man at Clemson. I can only imagine how brutal it must be for him and his family. Go watch the replay, the kids hands were trembling when the cameras zoomed in while he was in shotgun expecting the snap. No joke, I would tell him to fake injury if need be, bc Dabo and streeter are apparently the only two that can’t see it. When it goes south and he gets over his skis he becomes a basket case. Two years of data back this up

Does the nasty personal stuff during the game need to go? Yes. But if "Best is the Standard", it's clear that this coaching group is underperforming. Their plan on how to get the most out of this offensive group is lacking to say the least. Dabo needs some upgrades. He's done a great job over the years by getting the right people in the right places. He needs to make some more changes to move Clemson in the right direction.

What nasty personal comments were you seeing that offended you so bad? Perhaps I just overlook those posts. If saying we hope DJ transfers or that streeter is fired, is it, then you shouldn't hang out on any sports forum. You're going to get that sort of talk from fans. If it's more than that or personal attacks that's different but I didn't see post like that.

No one wishes DJ ill will, but it has become obvious it is not working. Perhaps he doesn't gell with our coaching staff and needs a different environment to bloom.
DJ has really tried. For example He has lost weight. Even after the basketball game i saw the qbs throwing in the practice facility past 9pm. No one questions his effort.
But at what point do you just say for whatever reason it is not working and its time to try something new.
I will be the first person to celebrate if he does great at another school. Absolutely no ill will for a true Clemson man. But whatever is going on now is just simply not working.

anything I read or posted here.
RevDodd always said Tnetters get two days after a loss to lash out with anger and resentment because of the pain. I seldom post on Tnet on gameday and less so on the day after.
Maybe you could realize that much of the horror here is excused.

I presume we said terrible things about Steele after the Orange Bowl massacre to WV, and Dabo got rid of Steele. This loss hurts as much if not worse because it was to a rival,, and we dominated the lines. And we have 2 5 star QBs on the team. One is a dud. The other - we don't know because he barely saw action and wasted his freshman year riding the Pines.
Something must change. From the fan's perspective and from what we hear from coaches and others,.we have talent. But we have not looked good all year.

When Dabo signed the latest contract for $10.5 to $12.5 million, the expectation is to win.
When an athlete signs a scholly at Clemson and takes NIL money, the expectation is to win.
When you lose, you take the heat...which isn't free.

I can almost guarantee our opposing teams pray to the football gods that Dabo doesn't make a QB change. Any team would relish at the thought of facing DJ vs any of our other QBs. They know what they have with DJ. They have no clue how any of the others will perform. My assessment is that any of them would be no worse and after the nerves settle almost assuredly any of them would be better.
