My 14 year old son....

Nov 15, 2022, 9:49 AM

and I were talking about Clemson football last night....mainly our plans for the ACC Championship game...got to talking about the home winning streak, too. I told him, son, you do realize you have not seen Clemson lose at Death Valley since you were 8 years old!!! His eyes got big as that sunk in. These "youngsters' today are livin' the dream when it comes to Clemson football. I know my boy is....and he is darn glad he ain't a Chicken either!!! Go Tigers, beat Miami....and keep the streak alive.

Enjoy these days. We both can remember when wins seem to be much harder to obtain. Many Sunday morning I went to Church feeling depressed wondering if we would ever see CU on top of the football world. Our main challenge was the State Championship which we did not win every year. Now, we are in the top group of teams in the football world. Many fans are still unhappy. I, for one at 79 years old, am living the dream. Go Tigers.

Yep. My 6 years at Clemson (1967-1973), the Tigers were 31-42. I vividly remember the sign hanging out an A-8 window one weekend-- "BEAT ANYBODY"

Yep. And don’t forget it really wasn’t that long ago we had to put up with hearing that “one for the thumb” c r a p. The last 8 years have been fun.
