Just kidding, I’ve never met a Wake football fan outside of a Clemson-Wake game. I don’t think they exist

Any fan-base that has a peanut for a mascot is a barrel of laughs..same goes
for a chicken. Most of us enjoy peanuts with a beer or soft drink and chicken
on the dinner table. You won't see a Tiger on the menu.

He had a Wake hat on and I struck up a conversation.
It was the latter stages of Grobe's tenure there and I remarked that I thought he was a good coach. He said, yeah, but he's starting to slip and probably time for him to go.
I was surprised that a Wake fan cared enough about football to want to get rid of the best coach they'd ever had there in my lifetime to that point, and was thinking they'll crash and burn after him.
But then they got Clawson...he's pretty good too. Good for them.

Two couples of elderly Wake fans were trying to get gas and didn't understand that you had to pay inside first. The old men were cussing loudly and rude to the cashier. Not impressed with Wake fans.

Wake is a small, private school. I would imagine their fan base is not like the large, state school type (UGA, USUC, Nancy State).

I met a couple of Wake fans several years ago. They were at the Clemson game in Winston Salem and I asked them why they happened to be at the Clemson game, they were nice and said they were in search of hot n now Krispy Kreme and were also active in the swinger community. Needless to say, I left his wife in a state of euphoria after i pointed her toward the Krispy Kreme stand.

I’ve never met any mouthy Wake fans. I’ve been to several of our games up there and didn’t encounter any. My aunt and uncle graduated from Wake and I think both would rather wine and cheese than attend a game ?
