More whining than Napa Valley

Oct 3, 2021, 10:34 AM

Is it my age or just the fact that the fan base as a whole is just so completely spoiled, that even a win last night is being treated almost like a loss to some. Tony Elliott is not playing receiver and dropped passes are not on him and had those attempted targets caught the ball as they should or would have, would have been a much bigger margin.

In reality I felt like we had this game more in hand than last year if only for the defense alone.

ACC Championship is still there for the taking and what we do from this point forward will carry the momentum into next year.

No the offense is not what we have seen in past years but very few teams can say they have had two generational QB’s in a row like we have had with Watson and Lawrence.

My only hope is that DJ, who obviously puts in the extra time with practice and watching film, just gets better game by game.

If Kade comes in next year and proves to be the answer then so be it.

And to those who actually made the statement “this feels like a loss”, you should have your Clemson Fan Card revoked immediately.

Exactly. ^^^^^^
Last night was fun in the Valley. I’m just thankful we can have a full house and get the place rocking like it should be. Remember last year?

The crowd was awesome last night.***

How do you keep Gamecocks out of your yard?
• Put up goal posts
What does a Gamecock grad call a Clemson Tiger grad in 2 years?

Agreed. The bad thing is that a certain percentage of those complaining are coot trolls disguised as tiger fans. They will do anything to see us knocked off our pedestal.

With the talent we have on this roster even with injuries we should not have to rely on pure luck to win a game against BC. Coaching is the issue.Dabo and Elliott refuse to try anything different. Venables has lost half his defense and all he does is adjust and does the best he can with what he has left. This is why it feels like a loss because the teams we are struggling with are not on par with us talent wise.

From my seat in front of the TV, the offense did adjust using different players. Both tight ends, Shipley was not there, Ross left the game. Our team still won. Was not flashy but we won. I am happy today. Go Tigers

I get it but there are injuries that are affecting us as well and unfortunately we have not had the luxury minus the SC State game, of giving back up’s more playing time because we are usually up 4 scores. Our back ups are having to start because of the injury bug.

We simply don’t have the luxury of depth on offense that we have on defense at the moment.

I think a lot of people have (or some people) ) have the ability to enjoy the victory in the Valley last night and realize DJ is the most inaccurate QB we’ve possibly ever had. Not much can be done about it now, but he doesn’t need be in the position next week. He’s bad

I'll take whining over sunshine pumping. At least the whiners realize there's a problem (or two, or three).

ACC Championship is not there for the taking unless NCState loses two ACC games.
