More SEC bias

Arizona (34-21/15-15 Pac-12) and defending national champions don't get in but Florida (29-28/14-16 SEC) does? This makes no sense at all.

Florida's RPI is in the 30s, Arizona's is in the 60s

Not really a good comparision. There are flaws in the RPI system in baseball, but not a 30 point swing.

The RPI thing is really messed up now with teams getting

.7 points for winning at home and 1.3 points for winning on the road. Maybe all those northern teams should build indoor baseball facilities instead of complaining that the RPI isn't fair.

It makes sense to add bouns points for road wins

since the home team wins so much more in baseball. If you take a matchup of 2 equal teams, the home team is expected to win 2 out of 3.

But the real weakness of the RPI is out west where they have a glorified round robin because of distance and so few teams that play major D1 baseball. Unlike in the east where we can play different teams on weekday games, the west is pretty much total series with the same 20 or so teams.

I agree about the road wins but it should be .9 for a home win and 1.1 for a road win.

Whether they give to much or not enough is for some with more knowledge of the maths that I have.

Also you get .3 pts/gm for having a SEC patch on the Uniform

and .6 points if the other team has the same patch. It's really unfair but that's that way ESecPN wanted it.

Florida getting in with a sub .500 record vs teams RPI 200+ is a complete joke. I don't care how difficult your schedule is. I could understand if they made a run in the SEC tournament but they were 1 and done against another sub par team in A&M. I know it is hard to put much on one game in baseball but no way both teams in that game should have made a regional.

I am afraid that several of the teams in the ACC are overrated given that the conference has not produced a CWS winner in 55+ years since the baseball powerhouse WF took it all home.

Yes because winning a National Title is the key factor in how good a conference is. Last I checked they only give the trophy to one team, well except in the SEC. The ACC is the best baseball conference by far this year. Does that mean they will win a Championship? No, but I am sure Fresno St. was the best team in the country in 2008 also.

Southern Cal has more titles than all of the SEC

Just because LSU had a run doesn't mean that the conference historically dominates. The SEC has had 3 teams win a championship.

The Big 12 has had 4 and the PAC 12 has had 5.

Florida has SEC losses which equal PAC 10 wins in the RPI***

By far? Here are all the series between SEC and ACC teams this year:

Clemson(18-12 ACC)-SC (17-12 SEC): 2-1 SC, 17-6 aggregate runs

GT(15-15)-UGA(7-20): 2-1 UGA, 36-20 aggregate runs

FSU(20-10)-UF(14-16): 2-1 FSU, 9-6 aggregate runs

Miami (14-16)-UF (14-16): 2-1 UF, 14-10 aggregate runs

Clemson-UGA:1-1 split, 12-6 CU aggregate runs

The ACC is thriving off of the OWP RPI factor this year. In head to head with similarly matched SEC series, it's about even, leaning SEC.
