who do you think (Juniors) will go? Wilkins is obvious.

I'm not sold that Wilkins goes. He seems to really love Clemson!

@Bbengaltiger14® I've been saying the same thing. There is just something that makes me think that the way we lost the Sugar Bowl really really didn't sit well with them. I'm not sure he wants that to be his lasting image. Really wouldn't be surprised and go so far as expecting him and 1 of Ferrell/Bryant to come back next year.

He needs to stay he has regressed since his freshman season***

no He has not

Jan 5, 2018, 6:21 PM

I believe he had some injuries this year, but he is not a worse football player. That’s nuts

So he went from being named 3rd team all acc as a frosh to now being named the acc blocker of the year while regressing? That's laughable.

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

What I can't understand Kobe

Jan 5, 2018, 7:32 PM

is the amount of post-Bama posts stating our O-line with three 1st team All-ACC players is terrible.

I can't say that for the rest of the season but in the Bama game, he seemed totally lost. Missed that cut block and almost caused an INT, could not stay in front of the Bama DE and let him go unimpeded to Kelly B or the running back several times. On our blocking scheme, we were not able to adjust to their backside rush or their superior quickness on the line. Plus ALA played real smart when not in rush mode by keeping their hands up to knock down balls. Was very frustrating to watch the offense but our defense was great and got an A from me front to back. That horse collar call was a joke too. We'll be ready next year for another run at them.

I think that Mitch should stay but only because...

Jan 5, 2018, 6:26 PM

it is more difficult for an OL to be three years removed from college and be physically ready for the pro's , and his upperbody can still use a little growth imho, , but i am just another clueless fan , , and for my own self interests, i hope he stays to help anchor that line , ..he is probably the biggest secret on our team getting to another playoff..imho...

If his NFL report says 1st or 2nd round he should go

Jan 5, 2018, 6:34 PM

Money too big to turn down and injury risk too high. I appreciate Spiller for staying, but that was a unique situation. C.J. was a program changer trying to help his school and coaches. We are not in that situation now. Wish him all the best, whatever his decision.

I have a little bit of inside info on this. As of a month ago if Hyatt got a first round grade he was leaving. Anything less than a 1st round grade he was coming back because getting his degree is very important to him. A lot can change in a month but we will see. I think he's coming back.

JMHO, Mitch Hyatt did something at Clemson University that has only been done one other time in Clemson football history. He became only the second true freshman to start on the Clemson offensive line. Dr. Prince was the first true freshman to do that. Hyatt is a baller and I hope he comes back but if he doesn't, he will be one of my favorite offensive linemen to ever wear the Orange. Every player misses blocks and assignments, these things happen. For those of you who do not know this tidbit, the starting Left Tackle is the most dominant lineman and one of the most intelligent players on the team. The four most intelligent players are the quarterback, the center , the left tackle and the defensive captain who is calling the defensive plays. Go Tigers and the Best is Yet to Come.

I think Hyatt comes back. I say A. Bryant, Cain, and Ray Ray come back.

The entire offensive line needs to return. They were slonnged/slammed/whipped Monday night.

The NFL is a whole lot tougher. Our O line got beat down!

5th year guys need to be concerned. Hope diploma is in hand or all the guys will be trying to find coaching jobs somewhere.

Center got blown up! Right Side got blown up! No blocking!

Got to say it, Coach Ford's O lines could knock defenders on their a$$ - Penn St., Ohio St., Oklahoma, DAWGS, FSU, Stanford, Nebraska, Maryland, Tarhores,

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Could you imagine the defense next year

Jan 5, 2018, 9:53 PM

If Wilkins and Ferrel stayed..... oh my.

2024 student level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

i think he stays

Jan 5, 2018, 11:06 PM

largely because i cannot imagine we had a single ol that had a passing grade from the bama game..it has been several years since our ol got destroyed like that..there were certainly no first round-worthy moments.
