I was just talking with a veteran of WW2 last week who got back and went back to Clemson when the war ended and he's a lawyer now in Easley. Very nice man

It really was, my grandfather was one of them and he passed away in 2013. They build this country into a superpower and actually had reasons to fight battles unlike my generation (I'm only 19} who get upset over bubblegum and turning this country into a degenerate wasteland.

As someone who is not part of that generation... You are completely right. They were/are the greatest generation.

My granddad graduated in the Clemson class of '35 and was a WWII vet in the Pacific. He told me about surviving an air attach in the Philippines by going into a barrel he buried underground next to his quarters. When he came back up after the attach, everything was gone. Thank you to those who've served and to those who continue to serve our country.

..not to mention the number who were in WWII...

...and who later attended Clemson, which surely runs into the thousands as well. My dad was with the 484th Bomb Group in Italy and graduated from Clemson in 1950. He was a tail gunner on a B-24 Liberator...
