I know there is a lot of speculation out there about Clemson cornerbacks coach Mike Reed and Georgia. Hopefully I can add some clarity here....
We know that Kirby Smart has placed a bulleye squarely on Dabo Swinney and Clemson, and would love nothing more than to poach one of the Tigers' best and longest tenured coaches. I know some Georgia sites have salivated over the prospect and reported multiple interviews, but I've been told that all of that noise has come from the Georgia side and it's all quiet in Clemson. It looks like there was a phone call to see if he was interested, and I'm not sure it's progressed or will progress beyond that. I think Mike wants to be a DC or HC and right now a lateral move doesn't make a lot of sense.
I'll let you know if I hear anything further.

it was fairly widely know that when dabo hired conn away from one of the best high school programs in america that he was being groomed to be our dc. but hey nothing like a god conspiracy theory amongst goobers.

First I heard of it. Seriously. Of all the rumors that I have heard that have made the rounds, I had never even heard a hint of that until you mentioned that and that it had made the rounds. I don't buy it and can't see it happening.

Fairly known to everyone except Bates and Reed. They didn't find out until Conn and Swinney mentioned it in press conferences that Dabo had made this decision years prior. I guess that didn't set to well with Bates and he left. When Reed got offers from Oklahoma, Bama, UGA and Ohio State that's when Dabo gave Reed Special Team Coordinator & Assistant Head Coach title to justify pay increases.

Screw them!! They want a war then fine, they got it!! After last year’s embarrassing loss by our inability to put together any offensive production, we need to pummel them in every sense of the word! It starts with a mentality to dominate, then the plan, then the execution! Needs to come from the coaches, athletic department, fans & players! The war has begun with them, we welcome it and we must make them regret ever going to battle with Clemson!! Relax. Kirby contacted a Clemson assistant to ascertain if he was interested in a job at UGA. My guess is UGA planed to pay him, not "steal" or kidnap him. There is no war with Clemson and there certainly is no rivalry.

Negative recruitment against Clemson, trying to hire current coaches, offering recruits just so Clemson doesn’t get said recruit etc.! I mean, the schools are only 70 miles apart and recruit the same area.
Why wouldn’t they play dirty? All is fair in love and war and make no mistake, college football recruiting is war.
My question is, will CDS take the gloves off and fight fire with fire? Who knows, but highly unlikely!

I lot of the noise about a Clemson coach leaving has mostly come about bc of Brent Venables becoming the HC of Oklahomo, and mostly bc BV wasn't prepared to become a HC when the chance come at a school he wanted to be the HC, the one that allowed him to be pushed out of, and he raided Dabo's staff bc Dabo has been successful with the staff that has taken him years to build, so Brent Ventables takes the easy path by raiding his so called friends staff, with complete uncaring regard of the effects that it could cause Dabo, his FRIEND!!!

I heard from a reliable source that CU didn’t really want Paul that much. They knew UGA was tracking them and went after Paul to throw them off the scent. They really think a lot of Adams and wanted to wrap him up first

Kirby probably couldn't hurt Dabo, or the Clemson FB program near as much as Brent Venables has already done. Plus, Brent Venables has shown the country that Dabo's FB staff wasn't quite as loyal as many thought that they were prior to BV raiding the Clemson FB staff.
Yes Sir, BV has open a can of worms that can't be reclosed, and from here on out, Dabo should keep his so called loyal friends much, much closer than he ever has bc, Brent Venables has shown Clemson nation, and the entire country that Dabo's staff are his loyal friends only until they are sought after by another program that has a lot more money, and their loyal friendship is only as good as their salary offered by Dabo or another program!!!! The real deal is, is that Dabo is now grooming/training future coaches for who ever is willing to pay the most money.
Personally, the disgust I had for Brent Venables when I saw him getting on the Oklahomo plane, and when they landed BV was telling that fan base how much he missed them, and how glad he was to be back as their HC, as if Clemson was just a stop over that really meant nothing to him, and it made me want to puke in his disgusting face.
But now, with the way that BV raided our Clemson coaching staff since that day, Dabo's loyal friend, in BV's own words while he was at Clemson, and ask why he hasn't taken a HC position, his own BS answer when asked, was that he was a loyal kind of guy. That S O Bs loyalty only lasted until he could back to where he was pushed out at, Oklahomo. My disgust for BV has grown 10 fold since he started raiding what Dabo had built for Clemson, and I pray for BVs complete utter failure from now to the end of his coaching career, whether it's as a HC, or a DC where ever he is a coach, at HS, college, or the Pros, I pray that he fails!!!
As I've stated many times, it's about Clemson, Clemson, Clemson with me 1st, 2nd, and 3d over anything relating to a college, whatever that may be, I love everything Clemson, and I hate anything, or anybody that attempts to do Clemson harm regardless of the level of harm!!!

He needs to leave Clemson. It is obvious Dabo doesn’t think he is DC material for Clemson so if he can get more money for the same title, why wouldn’t he go?
I have always thought he was a much better coach and certainly recruiter than Conn. the Co-DC for Conn is baffling.
Yeah, I know Dabo is perfect and we should just trust him yadayada but rational minds have to wonder if Reed is on his way out IF in fact he wants the DC/HC gig.
