First Clemson game you went to?

Moving around the country, my first game was Clemson/FSU 2006 in jr high school. A Bowden bowl for the ages. The atmosphere and orange around me when Davis made that quick snap run was something I’ll carry with me forever!!
Just curious about your first experience and the stories that follow. Would love to hear.

I was in 10th grade , Did not know who Clemson Tigers or NC Tarheels were. Just a happy kid to go to his first College football game. October I think of 1975.... How about that... BTW , I think Clemson Lost.... However since I graduated in 1981 , I have only missed 5 home games. Go Tigers

Second game. Lost to Georgia badly
Third game. Tied Georgia Tech at Atlanta
First three games I attended 1 win 1loss 1tie

First game. Barely beat Citadel at home
Second game. Lost to Georgia badly
Third game. Tied Georgia Tech at Atlanta

Did not appear on the field. 1982, of course we were playing Duke. Which in my mind meant getting to see Bo, Luke, and Daisy from the Dukes of Hazzard. Though I was disappointed, I was doing pushups with the Tiger by the fourth quarter and have been hooked ever since. Dad was working and mom thought she might as well try to occupy her 3-yard old. So thanks mom!

'82 game vs. Dook was my first game as well. I was in 7th grade and ecstatic when my aunt offered to take me.

My senior year of high school I sat on the Hill with my best friend & her Dad for the 1979 Virginia game. It was Homecoming, and was #19 of our 29-game streak beating the Cavaliers.

I was there in the student section. I believe that was the greatest game I ever personally attended and the most fun I've ever had at a sporting event.

The first game with the rock at the top of the hill, reportedly.
I was a second grader and did not notice. We were too busy running around and then "storming" the field after the 40-35 victory to beg for chin straps or sweat bands from the Clemson players.

My first game was in 1977 vs Maryland in the first game of the season at home and first game for Charlie Pell...the Tigers lost 21-14 but that game against a good Jerry Claiborne coach Terrapin team set the tone afterwards for all the winning the Tigers have been doing ever since

1976 Clemson-Carolina. My dad got tickets at the last minute, I think on the Friday before the game, but I don't recall how. I was in 7th grade.
We sat on the visitor side near the Carolina cheerleaders. Early in the game they unfurled a big banner that said "Are we going to let a bunch of #@&^ 2-6-2 farmers beat us?"
Welp...they did. Don't remember a lot of details other than that banner, but Tracy Perry had a big game. I think he scored 2 TDs. Good times.

I was born in Feb of 1958 and attended my first game in the fall of the same year - 8 months old. Virginia was the opponent and the Tigs won. Though I'm a little short on any game details.

Old timer here-First game I remember was the firts Clemson-Coot game played at Clemson- 1960. Clemson won 12-2 and I spent much of the day sliding down the hill.

I remember watching Clemson NC State 98 recently, Torry holt had a field day. There was maybe 45-50 k in Death Valley. Obviously we were bad then, but was that out of protest or was there just less enthusiasm for Clemson football at the time? Stadium was practically full in 2010 when I went even though we finished 6-7

Clemson - Maryland I think 1975. Was in high school. Had pretty much decided to go to Clemson but that day cemented it. Had a blast. I think we lost though.

1976. Clemson upset SCAR 28-9. HC Red Parker's last game I believe. Mike O'Cain QB.

My first game was October 1979 vs NC State, the Tigers lost 16-13 but I had seats on the 40 yard line of visitors side that I bought from a NC State fan. The most interesting game was October 31, 1981 vs Wake Forest Tigers won 81-24 and Danny could have put a 100 spot on them easily. I think some of the cheerleaders played for Clemson in the 4th quarter.

My first game was against UNC. Dad was a big Tarhole fan. I remember Clemson going in for the win, and Lawerence Taylor destroyed the Tigers offense in the red zone. Been a CU fan ever since that day.. not sure of my age or the date at the time.

I had gone to Citadel games with my Dad but that was nothing like the Valley. I'd never seen anything like it. 63,500 people!?! That was crazy. Buck Belue played so bad he almost threw an interception to me and I was in the upper deck. Our D came to play that day.

October 13, 1962 with my Cub Scout pack. We sat in the West Stands. Georgia beat us 24-16
"Two-Four-Six-Eight
Georgia's Got a Bellyache"
was our chant.
