Mickey Conn is not getting it done on the recruiting trail..

His Georgia ties are not bearing any fruit.

Haven't you heard that all on and off campus recruiting has been blocked since last spring.

At the moment our coaches are literally sitting on zoom calls trying to talk players into coming to Clemson.

Recruits can show up on college campuses on their own but can't have any contact with coaches.

I'm not sure how it's an indictment on Mickey Conn that a kid who drove himself to UGA multiple times and never made it to Clemson, is going to pick UGA.

It seems as though the decision was made long ago when he decided not to drive to Clemson on his own.

This is a weak attempt at complaining about a coach.

I have heard that Conn is quite good at identifying obscure players that are not on the radar.

We are not producing as well as we might like in Georgia at the moment, and this does raise some questions.

However...COVID has certainly complicated our recruiting efforts...in Georgia, and everywhere, for that matter. Being able to bring recruits to Clemson and allowing them to experience Clemson is such an integral part of how Clemson recruits. Feel The Actual Love is so much of how Clemson recruits, and with COVID shutting down visits, we just haven't been able to do that like we used to.

UGA is home too. Nothing like selling home during a pandemic. Just like there is nothing more meaningless than the score at halftime so to is a commitment in March. When recruiting opens back up you'll see a flurry of things happening especially the decommitment of kids who haven't visited the places they want. Big difference in trying to get somewhere on your own dime and having the school pay for your visit. Also Georgia always does this and the same people complain every year yet Georgia doesn't have these:
