Why? When 'Bammer destroys other Power Five schools, it doesn't ruin anybody else's chances. And every year should be viewed separately from every other year. Unless, of course, we want to rig the system.

The committee are humans and it could impact their decision in future selections. Not saying definite but it could. Bama took care of business against Georgia but haven’t destroyed like they used to btw. Just my view.

Any tiger fan that grew up in the 70’s and 80’s knows we played them regularly back in the day. They have/had the most obnoxious fans around. I don’t want them to win anything ever. The only game I want the coots to win every year is when they play Georgia. We also compete with them for many recruits. It is better for us when they don’t do well BUT they get really good recruits regardless of not winning anything much in years.

York County I’m from FM. I agree us being so close and recruiting a lot of the same schools it’s best when they do not do well.

What gauntlet? The Big Ten is not strong, even Ohio State is down a tad this year. I was born and raised in the Midwest. There were 4 schools I could never pull for: Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Nebraska. Having lived in SC for 24 years now, I’m not pulling for UGA. As much as I hate to do so, I will be pulling for Bama. My Mississippi granny was always a Bama fan.
