day started with the four hour drive to see Clemson handle the Cardinals from L'ville. We tailgated a little before the game throwing the ball and taking in the atmosphere. Once inside the stadium, MfOjr. went to watch the pitchers throw. We started heading back to our seats and we saw Jack Leggett standing just outside the dugout. He saw us looking and took a couple of steps toward the us and we went down to speak. Jack is a true gentleman. He took the time to speak with my son and wish him a happy birthday. We went to our seats and cheered our Tigers on. The game ended and MfOjr. went to watch the players. He completed his day at Clemson by running the bases. We had a great time and MfOjr. had one of his best bdays. I can honestly say and MfOsr. was ready to get home after a long day on the road. 
I would like to say "thank you" to CBProf®. He was unable to attend the game and offered his tickets. We gladly accepted the tickets.

Speaking as a dad myself, I can honestly say there is nothing like a Father-Son or Father-Daughter day at the ballgame!! Win or lose it is always special. But, I am sure you guys getting to see a Clemson victory was a great bonus!
It not only sounds like it was a great birthday celebration for MfOjr - but it really sounds like it went well for each of you! Glad it went so well for each of you guys!!
Now, I am wondering if Clemson will let an old man like me run the bases at a future game!

a “Clemson Man” is suppose to use his tickets . . . not for capital gain, but to build memories that withstand time and build character in Our Future Tigers!!!

As for MfOJr . . . He’s as “Orange” as his Dad . . . and I’m blessed to call both “special people in my Life”!!! Meeting Coach Leggett was a birthday treat for sure!!!

Sounds like fun and brought back a memory. When my son was about 8, we lived in Miami and I took him to a Marlins/Braves game. We went to Hooters first for dinner and he was a hit with the Hooters girls. They gave him a t-shirt that said “my first Hooters shirt” and a free hot dog. We had somehow ended up with an extra ticket and my son kept asking the Hooters girl if she wanted to go with us. I had a tough time trying to explain to him why that wouldn’t go over real well with his mom. It was hilarious. You will remember these times forever. My son is 33 now and it seems like yesterday.

One that Jr will remember for the rest of his many days left on this earth. There has been many older Tigers on here tell about the games they shared with their dads at a Clemson game, and when they talk about those memories, they sound like they were just created, and I'm sure it will be the same for MyfavJr....

A little better- never had pain while sitting but was agony walking- still pretty bad if I stand in one spot or walk very far

I don't know why your back hurts, but I do know whatever the reason, surgery should be avoided for as long as possible. I've had 4 back surgeries, and my back was worst than it was after each surgery!!!! I hope for your sake that it's something that will heal on its own with just taking it easy for a little while!!!

Many of my best memories of time spent with Dad, was going to Marshall Football games. Even sitting in a cold rain watching our team take another loss was great fun.
