i've been there plenty of times for Atlanta United matches. I'd say take the Marta in if possible.

Very good stadium/facility. Easy in and out. I particularly recommend the club.I've been there for a peach bowl and a SEC championship game
Atlanta has never been a safe city....And it's only gotten worse. There are several hotels very close by....namely the Omni and the Embassy suites. There are several others close by like the Westin, etc.… that you could walk from...But make sure you walk in groups and I would not recommend it at night.

in ANY American city or town after dark, before dark, or at ANY time of day. I know that there’s no way to prevent all crime, but danm… it’s past time to start putting some scumbags in prison FOREVER instead of releasing them time after time to offend again. Enough is enough!!!

If it was open carry I may feel a little better about walking around town but the last time I was there there were homeless people laying around everywhere. Not very good to be walking around with the family. Someone mentioned Marta and that would be like me riding the subway in NY. That will never happen.

Was at a conference earlier this year at Mercedes Benz stadium. Stayed at Marriott Marquis which was about .75 mile walk. Wasn’t a bad walk and felt safe. Pricey hotel however….

I live in Atlanta and it’s not like y’all are saying. Crime is an issue but have never had a bad experience going to a game. You could stay near the stadium or choose a less expensive option in the suburbs and ride Marta. It literally lets you out at the stadium. The train is fine before and after games. Awesome stadium and should be a great time!

In addition to the Omni, there is also a Hyatt Regency, a Hilton Garden Inn, an Aloft, a Hyatt Place, the Hilton Atlanta, a Westin and a Ritz Carlton among others.

I've always stayed at a hotel around the Perimeter mall area and then taken Marta to the game. Easy peasy
