The Coots are exactly what I thought they were/ARE. Look at

these stats. Sorry, but I doubt the stats will line up just right. But, in the BOTTOM 50 teams in TOTAL OFFENSE, there are only 9 teams that are 2-0 in wins and losses. SIX OF THOSE ARE IN THE SEC.

DID YOU GET THAT? And only one team is in the bottom 22 in both OFFENSE and DEFENSE.....All I can guess is that 1. South Carolina and Tennesse( 94th in Total D,83rd in Total O) have just had Clydesdale size horse shoes in their back pocket. Nobody can keep winning they way they have...

Total D Rank Total O Rank OWL
Vanderbilt 159 3 384 79 1 and 3
Alabama 262 20 283 81 1 and 2
Tennessee 435 95 382 83 1 and 3
Iowa 350 60 380 84 2 and 2
Georgia 274 28 347 97 2 and 2
Kentucky 341 56 345 99 1 and 3
Old Dominion 303 T-40 325 107 1 and 4
South Carolina 463 T-107 302 113 2 and 2
Illinois 309 44 258 122 2 and 2

Re: The Coots

Yeah, Yeah. They have played two imposters, and they have huge gaps in talent and performance. But, they are playing better this year than I thought. Their coach is a chump, but he isn't the joke we wanted him to be.

Give them some credit. They are better than last year's team and way better than 2015. I still think that are a weak sister, but they will probably have a winning season and go to a better bowl - maybe back to the Music City Bowl.

I still think that we will beat the stuffing out of them again this year. They deserve another major beat-down: for how they whined after last year, their false accusations of slurs, and their idiotic QB who doesn't have the sense to recognize when he is out-classed.

Their defense is not any better.

Neither is their offense.***

They look almost exactly the same as last year but don't try telling any of them that.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

We're #2 in total defense & passing defense. Air Force is #1 having only played VMI. They'll drop after playing Michigan this weekend.

We're #3 in sacks behind Old Dominion and Hawaii.

and our sacks stat is truly with only one game since Kent State didn't pass...

They play the easiest first half of the season schedule in the nation, they avoid the top 3 teams in the West. We may be the only ranked team other than UGA on their schedule by seasons end.

I too think they are better than they have been in a few years, but I also think the matchup favors Clemson (so it is early for them to be talking trash). Our O has 9 more games to get better and our D should abuse them worse than Auburn.

$CU doesn't have the defense to stop Clemson...

Sep 11, 2017, 11:19 AM

and they don't have the offense to compete with the Clemson defense.

They have just three or four players on their entire roster would would have any chance of making the two-deep at Clemson.

At the end of November, Clemson will be playing for another spot in the playoffs while $CU will be trying to qualify for some obscure meaningless bowl game in Birmingham or Shreveport.

504 total yards allowed against NC State and 423 against Missouri.

The better teams on their schedule, although they're certainly aren't too many of them, will have a field day against that swiss cheese defense.
