Happy Friday the 13th, all you Friggatriskaidekaphobiacs

out there! One of your favorite days of all the year has come round again.
Now, the only real rational fear about Friday the 13th, is that you may have to dodge a TV marathon of all those turribel slasher movies of that title franchise.
And, since Hollywood will squeeze blood out of any turnip that it can, expect a new one anytime. After all, there have only been TWELVE different ones so far. Can't have that, in a franchise based on THIRTEEN, can we?
Hope you have a great day, and don't break any mirrors, walk under any ladders, and be sure to whistle past the graveyard if you get near one today! And if you run into anybody named Jason, make sure he doesn't visit Ye Olde Leash and Leather Shoppe. (Calm down, Francis.)

That reminds me of the old "Ultra Man" tv show. The English

voice overs had no tie-in whatsoever to the person shown speaking. Like, a simple English "Hello" would come out, when by the man's lips moving, he had obviously said about 15 or 20 words!
Ah, High Dollar TV Entertainment. They just don't make 'em like that anymore.
"The Energy Beacon on Ultra Man's chest begins to blink. If it should stop completely, ULTRA MAN WILL NEVER RISE AGAIN!"
NO, NO! Oh, dear, I want my MAMMY! The mean monsters are about to kill Ultra Man!
Satdiddy morning cartoons and "B" movie type monster showss. It was a simpler, more innocent time.

Watched Ultra Man a lot as a kid. Right after Looney Tunes!

slicing motion that released his Energy "Lightning Bolts".
I suspect that Moms back then truly LOVED Saturday mornings. All they had to do is park their kids in front of the TV, and they had glorious HOURS worth of free time to relax, or do household chores without us kids running underfoot.

That’s when my mom went to the grocery stores. We lived out in the country so she would go to 2-3 different stores and it took all of Saturday morning. I was so glad when we got old enough to be left home instead of having to go with her.

town were so close together, and on the same side of the street, that shopping carts from one would often end up in the other ones "fleet". They would separate them back out at the end of the day and return them to their rightful owners.
