MBB question

Jul 8, 2019, 1:50 PM

I haven't seen this info in any write ups on these games yet. Is our team playing against college age players or the men's Olympic players from each country?

They have to be a minimum 18 years old by December 31 of the games year and, I think a max of 24. It is a mix of actual individual university teams, multiple university all-stars, or, in Canada's case, they are the country's National Men's Basketball developmental team. Canada invites all-stars from university teams (as long as they have connection to Canada, like with the Olympic teams). If they are good enough, they get brought up to the main National team for competition in the Olympics and other International events. I'm thinking that this would be the case for a majority of the teams. Oh, and they must be actual enrolled "student" athletes.
