Maybe Neff should have handled this better...

With Coach Brownell? Either give him a not released notice of improvement or just let him go? The letter he sent really has Brownell's program on shaky ground. Transfer PGs leaving, assistants, and the key piece in the portal. Not a good sign what is going on...

Perhaps if “fans” like you would #### on message boards and let the staff and AD do their jobs it AP would go better for the team you supposedly support.
Just a thought…

The guy is the worst basketball coach in Clemson history.

Larry Shyatt would’ve killed for an ACC this easy and the facilities and support that Brad Brownell has gotten.
Brownell is the longest basketball coach in Clemson history. Well at least since the 50s. He has better facilities than any Clemson coach in history. The ACC has been its weakest in decades. The NCAA tournament and NIT are easier to get into than ever.
By any measure Brad Brownell has been terrible! It’s an embarrassment that he doesn’t resign. At this point every time he cashes a check he’s committing theft from Clemson & IPTAY!
He is paid to do one thing and one thing only. Win games! Yes there are other priorities. But the number one job of a head coach is to win!
If your performance level was that of Monty Lee or Brad Brownell you would’ve been fired a few years ago!

Yes...The message board fans fault excuse.

Now I've heard it all.
Recruits and his assistants listen to anonymous message board fans instead of the head coach.
You think maybe he just isn't any good?

portaled out, star transfer flip-flopping out a week after he commits, and none of that has anything to do with anything "fans" have or have not done. You know that. It has everything to do with the very public "do or die" situation Neff left Brownell in.

A couple questions come to mind in losing the two Asst. Coaches. Is Brownell just not good to work for or do we just not pay enough $ to keep them? Money does talk the loudest. However, we've all had bosses that are just not fun and when you can get out you do it. In the media, he comes across as a good guy but just kind of bland in his interviews but who knows how he is off camera. Also, he's the head coach so shouldn't he be the one to develop the biggest relationship with the players and coaches? It's almost like he's always caught off guard when someone bolts. He really kind of avoided a good answer on why the coach left for what seems like a lateral move.
He also just doesn't seem like he has a since of urgency about things. In his interview, it was like oh I'll get around to replacing them at some point. With that, I can see how a new player coming in for his last year would want to step back and rethink things a little.
