I’ve just heard it only happened on Jan. 6th and everything else is peaceful protest.

call right now, but storming government buildings, namely when elected officials are convening, for any reason to intimidate or stifle the process...should be punishable by jail.

So if that's what's going on here, everyone involved should go to jail.

I completely agree and said the same about the Capitol.

it gives you cart blanche to run over BLM protesters and never sit before a judge. It is like a castle doctrine for your car, and it gives T3 a chubby.

oh, and we just signed it into law in Florida too. First boomer with an abortion sign that steps off the curb is all mine. Blocking traffic during a protest is against the law, and the penalty is getting run over.

That would be awesome if it actually did but

alas it does not. Go back and read the link I gave you.

It’s all about civil liability and still hinges on any criminal outcome. You can’t just decide to plow into protesters. That will still get you one of your prison man love fantasies.

However, if you have a situation like the truck video I showed the other day, the truck driver would not be liable for moving his truck and the idiot on his hood falling off and breaking his neck.

Similarly, FL didn’t have any idiots running around and defacing statues and monuments like NYC had last night or morons blocking a 4 lane highway like in NC.

Read up. You might learn something instead of just spewing propaganda.

I’d TU that gif though if you didn’t have me on ignore lol.

Tell me what’s different. They forced their way in to stop votes and caused a lockdown.

Different from what?

The definition of insurrection has a motive in the overthrow of government. Looks like these people were just there to get government's attention and call them names.

The purpose of Jan. 6 was to protest the counting of electors that the protesters believed were unlawful because of fraud. Their goal was to stop it. There is no possible way they could have “taken over the government.” Exactly the same as here. Just condemn it and be done. It’s not that difficult.

I didn't say anything about Jan. 6

So, since I'm consistent in my views, do believe this sort of behavior should be shut down immediately and the infiltrators prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Should I assume you actually think this is worse than the Capitol and it actually is an insurrection, or are you trying to make light of the Capitol and you also don't think this is a big deal?

What are the chances anyone is actually prosecuted though?

Not to speak for OP, but I think mine and most peoples main gripe is the difference in which January 6th was handled vs the prior year of rioting. They had all of those resources to round up everyone in a 3 mile vicinity of DC Jan 6th, they were doxxed, got fired from jobs, hundreds arrested, but in most cases we don't even bother to charge rioters. No, our Vice President even promoted bail funds for them and that is supposedly OK.

In the Capitol, you had the power of the Fed's resources. Not sure that will be the case here.

I’ve made my view clear multiple times including on this thread. It’s too bad you’re either too stupid, too drunk, or just too much of an ahole to read it.

The capital riots were an insurrection, the BLM protesters taking over police stations and trying to burn them down is an insurrection, and this is an insurrection.

The problem is that the media doesn’t frame all the insurrections in the same way.
