Yeah, not bad in tenth when your ace shoots a 79.... worst round in 3 years.. you’d told me that before the tournament started, I would have thought no way we’d be t10.

Congrats again to Kyle, Colby, and Jonathan!!!! Carrying the team like the tejas regionals!

Clear your head Bryson darn it and hit em good in the morning!!!! Leave no doubt. I really want to watch you guys Monday afternoon!

this was the first round in a long long time that Bryson Nimmer did not have to carry the entire team on his back and it is a good thing judging by the very surprising round that he shot.Sure glad some more guys stepped up this time around and shot decent enough scores even if the scores were over par scores shot and to keep the team close to the Top 8.With that said though, the team as a whole sure does need Bryson to be Bryson and shoot a good score or just shoot around par for his round.Good thing though is that he Tigers will get the somewhat(6 other teams will have teed off before the Tigers on hole #1) freshly mowed greens this morning and not have the spiked up and walked over ones that they probably had to endure in the yesterday's afternoon round.

Nobody wears spikes anymore and you can legally tap spike marks down. But there’s nothing like first tracks in snow skiing and golf, especially since these guys play painfully slow and by the time Clemson teed off slow play coupled with big scores ground play to a halt.

Understand about being able to tap down a spike mark but there are still Golf shoe manufactures out there that still make the soft spike shoes and those if you can't pick your feet up can still make a scuff mark even if it is the slightest of marks.I wear nothing but the FJ's(Footjoys) and I still like the soft spikes shoes that they have.Personally I have just never been able to get enough traction with the spikeless shoes, just me though I guess.I know the spikeless shoes are light weight and all but I prefer the soft spikes, especially on tee shots and the metal spikes when they were still in play from the 90's on back.

judging by the team scores after he first round it appears that shooting Even Par or anything under +5 for that matter could be the ticket to advancing past Monday's final round of stroke play and into Tuesday's first day of match play.Hopefully the Tigers can card a nice second round score today and make thing a little easier for Sunday's round that will be cut day.

usuc was penalized 2 strokes yesterday for slow play.
They trail our Tigers by 2 strokes going into today's play.

Yeah, that was ridiculous to play up to 830 pm. It had to be dark finishing the last two holes and it sounds like it was really windy in the afternoon.

NCAA strikes again with a p poor setup for starting times. 6 1/2 hour round without a weather delay is crap for the teams to turn around and play in the AM.

Thought I remembered last year they had shotgun starts for the teams. Can the NCAA get anything right???? Sure doesn’t seem too.

Time for the P5 conferences to get together and figure it out on their own.

I heard that the wind was blowing 15-20 mph yesterday afternoon, so maybe we can take advantage of an early start.
