Yes, but that’s not really the issue. Rooms are triple what I paid back in January

Just curious did you book directly from Marriott?

I’ve been booking hotels and airfare directly through providers sites and not secondary sites for this issue. I use secondary sites as a compare to get the rates then book directly from the airline or hotel.

You do realize you get a best rate guarantee from the major hotel chains right? Never use a 3rd party if you don’t have too. Members of the rewards programs usually get a discount as well. Also the 3rd party reservations are the first to get walked. There could be several reasons for the walks. The hotel may be short staffed and not have enough housekeepers to clean the rooms so the hotel has been shrunk. Yes the feds paying people to sit at home does impact you and hospitality jobs have been some of the hardest hit by them paying people that work in this sector to sit at home. The hotel is under an unexpected renovation. The hotel booked some kind of business where it made monetary sense to relocate guests. This would have to have been a serious piece of business to do this. Some thing happened with the hotels room inventory in the system and the team did not catch it in time. Now typically the other room is paid for if you are walked. Who knows what happe
