I'm curious as to what made you think he was "ours"? I just haven't seen much written about this prospect.

True, we do have the iol need but not true to say we're not after him. We are. We wouldn't have offered if we didn't want him.
You ppl amaze me. If a kid doesn't come to Clemson, it's the old excuse, we didn't want him. Guess we didn't want Shaw or Dindy this last cycle.

I said we weren’t going HARD after him. We offered, and it would have been a luxury, but not a need for sure. IOL is a desperate need.

Hello Pork_Chop®.
Often I agree with you, but not this time.
IMO, Clemson's "O-Line Room" is perpetually a little bit on the small side.
Markee Anderson (according to most of the stuff which you and others had also read) sounds like a quick-footed big man.
He's got good size for a rising HS Senior. If he can move (and reports about him indicate that he can), then M.Anderson sounds like he could play either Guard or Tackle.
We can use a player like that in the 2023 class.

If he can play guard, then I stand corrected. We have not had good luck with signing tackles and turning them into guards, though. Our OL room is small and weak for sure. But we do have some very good tackles and just signed 2 more good ones this past class. He would be a RS and then depth at tackle at best. If we fail to sign some high 3 star+ IOL who already weigh 300+ lbs, this class has problems. If we fail to sign 2 or more 4 star+ DL prospects, this class has problems. Until those two positions have our main targets crystal ball elsewhere, I’m not concerned.

Markee Anderson. Yes, we are big on him as is UNC and others. But he seems to want to stay close enough to home so it should be a battle between the 3 schools.
Shane's going to win a few battles a la spurrier. Sadly we're not dealing with a muscoot.

a third if we liked a guy a lot vs how we see the following class pool being. We will only have 2 SRs this year. We seem to be in great shape with a number of OL but there just isn't going to be room for all of them. May end up being a case of the first 2 that commit out of of about 5 or 6 that are fairly high on our board.

As of now due to youth we only have room for 2 OL. I think it's a definite we sign 3 and it's a personal prediction we sign 4. Based on recruiting articles I've read the staff wanted Anderson. I do think we sign the following:
1. Monroe Feeling -- #1 player in S.Carolina and #9 OT according to Rivals.
2. Sam Pendleton -- # 5 player in N. Carolina and #20 OT according to Rivals

I agree. I think Anderson would be icing and we have a pipeline with Dorman.

McFadden and Putnam still have a COVID year too. McFadden almost certainly leaves. Putnam might come back though. Then there’s one or two transfers maybe.
